Working on updating my top 8. You might be too young to catch that reference. I’ll be turning 45 next month. That sounds crazy to say out loud. So much has happened over the years. I should have my own Netflix series. I will say that I am happy with every aspect of my life. If I maintain this lifestyle until the end I am complete. Of course I will continue to progress, learn, grow, and slowly mature 😆My best friend @yori_kitty captured this for me.

What an Epic night! For Jamusen’s bday we took him and friends to his first concert. I want to truly thank my friend and rockstar @thefifthjohn and @themaineband for making it such a memorable experience. Jamusen will remember this for his entire life. Thank you John because now I’m Dad of The Year. Thank you for taking time out of your busy tour to meet my son and gift him and friends shirts. Giving us the backstage experience and reserved seats. Making sure Jamusen was safe and felt like a king. Calling him out during your performance dedicating a song and having the entire audience sing happy birthday in Dutch was truly epic! Thank you!

Moving to The Netherlands was never a plan or even a thought. We were in a moment of pivoting. Behind the scenes I was making plans for our next move getting everything in order as fast as possible. We had made a decision on where, but had not finalized it. We left it open ended because it didn’t quite feel right. As I was packing up our Japan house a best friend visited from Amsterdam. Spoke to me about the possibility of living in Amsterdam. I shrugged it off because it was never a thought. I had made up my mind, and getting visas to move internationally is a headache that I was personally over! My friend went home. A few months later the day before I left to go back to my family to pack up the house in Malaysia and prep for our move, a friend and colleague in the hair industry at an event asked me what I was doing. My answer was moving, the destination was almost certain. more than likely it’s ____. He said keep in touch and let me know where you land. A few days later he shared his company was hiring. Something made me reach out. Again The Netherlands was brought up. Why this place again?

I can go on and share more about obstacles, struggles, lessons, reflection, etc. Maybe I will share more.

All I know is I go where I’m led. No matter how hard things are there is usually a reason behind it. My glass is always half full. I look for the blessings that may seem hidden in darkness.

As I reflected and sought guidance. Amongst the dark morning rain I looked out a window and I saw my answer.
