Our girl has had every length under the sun. Short french bob’s, super short pixies, long layers, hime cuts, the works. We did a taper at the nape, cleaned the sides up with a 4, and connected the top while adding texture; all to be styled with flat iron waves.

If I told you that a few months ago, miss Madison’s hair was a light brown with faded blue on the ends, I don’t think you’d believe it. We treated and trimmed until her hair was ready for a beautiful strawberry blonde color.

Little behind the scenes reel of our Halloween/Joker shoot…

I had my friend Josh a.k.a. @house_of_pride over as a guest, a very experienced and talented hairdresser I met in Japan and it was extremely funny to share this shoot as it was a “typical” day of how we do things…

Duck-taping my diffuser to my blowdryer, spontaneously dying my model’s hair green @kinkihoogstraat, polishing my old two-tone shoes with @reuzel green, location seeking on foot in Rotterdam with a fully dressed Joker, a color gun going off in my face so I was completely orange… 🤣🤣

His reaction: “This is the craziest, most unplanned, chaotic photoshoot I ever witnessed but I love it” was about the biggest compliment we could get because that IS how we rollllll @reuzel

Always a great time to reconnect with old friends, whilst connecting with new ones!
Many were infected with THE POSE!

Thousands flew into Malaysia from all over South East Asia to spend a wonderful 2 days with each other, giving so much energy to learn, share, and most importantly, supporting one another.

Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand 💫

Took a personal trip to these places to reconnect with old friends and meet and engage with new. It had been 13 years since setting foot overseas, and it was every bit of invigorating that I’d hoped for and more. A major highlight was meeting up with friends from Estonia in Thailand. These people were all mostly new to me, yet it’s humbling and life affirming when you meet your friends people and they are solid reflections of your friend.

The thing that was most important for me during this trip was reconnecting with old friends. One of my mentors once told me “ keep the connections with people in life near & dear, even if it means paying money ”.

At the time this was said to me, I had no real income and was just getting by really, so I thought to myself while he said that “ yeah, like I’m gonna pay money to keep the people in my life around, they are already here with me “.

Then I grew older and realized that we raise ourselves after college. That’s how it is in America at least. Not only do we raise ourselves. Some of us choose to advance into an experience where they are living in collaboration with a partner, or even become parents.

What I mean to say is time becomes scarce. And what seemed easy before becomes work. Yet, like any work. When you do the time, you receive the fruits of the labor. 🍎

One thing is for sure. As of recent years, I now know exactly what my mentor said at that time.

I met up with Hiroki ( third photo ), who I went to beauty school with in Japan. He does great work in the middle of the Omotesando district in Tokyo, and we were able to discuss working together ✅

I also met up with my senpai from my University days, as well as @house_of_pride , always good seeing you Josh!

Just landed back home here on these islands this morning. I was in transit for 37 hours ( haha ) so I’m gonna rest a bit, then it’s back to work! Hope to connect with those of you reading this sometime real soon! 🤘🏼
