Update: since posting this, Finn has passed away unexpectedly. I am so absolutely heartbroken. Since Finn’s passing we have adopted a new girl named Howdy.

Hello! I’m Kaitlin and I have 3 dogs named Finn, Nash, and Goose! I started this account several years ago when Finn and I were living in apartments. Finn wanted to sun bask in the grass all day and I wanted a space that I could really turn into my own. I was so fed up from living in bad apartments with no outside space, this account really became an outlet for my frustration. I started posting all my inspiration in hopes that I could use it for when I would eventually have a house.

After many years of waiting, I finally was able to buy a house for Finn! This account has since turned into a combination of dogs, design, and a whole lotta gardening. Seems like a weird combo but puppies, flowers, and interior design together are all pretty great if you ask me!

A couple fun facts about me:
🌻 By day I’m a User Experience Architect and design websites and phone apps. By night I’m a certified dog trainer and photographer.
🌻 I’ve fostered over 50 dogs since 2014. In the past 6 years I’ve began fostering the harder to adopt dogs.
🌻 I’m a crossover dog trainer which means I used to use balanced training methods but no longer do. Finn was the first dog that I only used l force-free, science based methods. After making my transition I’ve never looked back! (Turns out science is pretty rad)
🌻 I made my first website when I was 10 years old and was totally hooked till this day
🌻 My first plant was a philodendron. I had a jungle themed room when I was younger, so you bet your butts I grew that thing out as long as I could!
🌻 I loved pumpkin flavored things before they were trend. Pumpkin pie is and always will be my favorite food.
🌻 I’m a bit of a goofy weirdo. Life’s too short to not be weird 🤪
🌻 I’m a HUGE animal lover. Growing up my house was a bit of a zoo. We had cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, an iguana, frogs, roads, turtles, many many fish (we literally had a “fish room” in one of our houses. Did my dad and I bring home most of the animals? 😏 Potentially.

We finally did it!!!!!! The border collies all got their canine good citizen today! Having 3 VERY people-social border collies with various levels of hearing and health complexities hasn’t been the easiest journey, but we did it!

I made it my goal this year to get our CGC not because I needed to prove something, but instead to challenge myself and keep pushing our training along. Very happy with these 3!

✨Odyssey’s Desert Drifter “Tumbleweed”✨

There’s officially a new guy in town! I’d like to officially introduce everyone to our newest addition, Tumbleweed!

Tumble is a 12 week old long haired chihuahua and we’re so excited for all our future adventures. He’s going to be trying out all the sports the border collies do and see what he likes! Nash, Goose, and Howdy are adjusting to their new little brother very well!

Happy National puppy day! 🥹 My sweet sweet babies. I got Nash and Howdy as a little bit older puppies. I was able to foster Goose’s litter from 3.5 weeks old on.

In order: Nash, Goose, Howdy, and a couple of the first pictures I took of Finn when I took him home. He was an adult but a puppy at heart.

Saving up all that carboard definitely paid off when we saw all the dogs happily shredding their enrichment! Glad we were able to give our friends over at @rebeldogsdetroit something fun for their dogs to do this valentine’s day. 💕

Besides basic manners, Bilbo has started training for flyball, scentwork, and disc. At only 8 months it was really important for him to start to learn new skills in new places. He has absolutely loved all the ways he’s been using his brain and has been a great boy to work with. Seriously so happy to see him improving every single day!

I’m a strong supporter for the adopt or shop responsibly.

Rescue has been a huge part of my life since I adopted my first dog at 12 and started volunteering at 14. I have been a foster for many organizations, on the board for a few, and also ran my own dog rescue for several years. It’s important to understand that genetics are important.
