By placing my client’s vision at the forefront, I strive to create spaces that are not only aesthetically refined but deeply personal and enduring.”

It wasn’t easy. It still isn’t.
But watching a concept come alive — and knowing you built that — is a feeling no paycheck can match.
If you’re looking for a sign - this is it!✨

My journey into design hasn’t been conventional. It was rather a discovery of my knack for creating beautiful spaces that led me to fall in love with what I do today. From my first design class to walking through the grand halls of Salone del Mobile in Milan, every step of my journey has been about chasing one thing — the magic of well-crafted spaces.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working on luxury residences across India — from conceptualising ideas to seeing them transform into living, breathing homes. I’ve worked with renowned architects, artisans, and skilled craftsmen, learning that true luxury is built in the details.

I started House of Machi with a simple vision — to design spaces that feel as good as they look. Beautiful homes that tell your story and are built to last.

Today, I specialise in designing and executing bespoke luxury residences across India. This studio is personal to me, and the work we do with our clients is personal too. It’s an honor to be trusted with something as important as a home.

A bright and elegant conservatory designed as a comfortable extension of the home.

With the garden visible through every window, the room feels calm, timeless and effortlessly connected to the outdoors.

A quiet corner for slow mornings, afternoon conversations and long evenings at home.

Putting together a mood board of the materials, finishes and textures that will eventually come together on site gives clients something more than a visual reference, it gives them a sensory preview of their future space.

They can see the colours, feel the textures, understand how materials relate to one another, and experience the story of the space before the first piece is installed.

Do you agree or disagree?
Let’s debate!

I used to think I needed a signature — a look people could spot instantly and say “that’s a House of Machi space.” A lot of designers chase that. I did too, for a while.

But three years in, I’ve realised the projects I’m proudest of aren’t the ones that look like me. They’re the ones that look like the people who’ll actually live there.

A personal style is a great way to build a portfolio. It is not always the best way to build a home for someone else.

Some of my clients want quiet, warm, almost invisible design. Others want drama — the kind of room you walk into and stop talking. If I forced my own aesthetic onto both, I’d have a more “consistent” grid and two clients who don’t quite feel at home in their own house.

The designers I admire most aren’t the ones with the most recognisable style. They’re the ones who can disappear into the client’s vision and still make it better than the client imagined.

Style gets you noticed.
Listening gets you hired again.

I’d rather be the second kind. by @houseofmachi

We love to experiment with materials, textures, finishes and come up with something new in interiors for each one of our clients. These are a few materials that we keep coming back to in our projects and we love how these add character to any space, be it a wall/ceiling/flooring surface or even a piece of furniture.

Before it’s aesthetic, it’s all messy, and we love it!

Things that instantly make this Master Bedroom look luxurious :
1. A grand fireplace, even if the Indian weather doesn’t call for it, because sometimes, aesthetics are bigger than functionality. It’s just a decorative mantel anyway.
2. A chandelier : Big yes to large chandeliers, even in bedrooms because they catch your eye instantly, and they add so much character to a space. Yes, we agree that they aren’t functional, but look how Gorgeous! (Jokes apart, you can always have both)
3. Layered fabrics & Textures : Going for different patterns, textures, prints in the same two colours throughout a space instantly make it look effortlessly rich. by @houseofmachi
