This weekend at the Good Mourning event @evergreen_brick_works , I finally let it hit me; I won’t see my mom in the flesh again. It was emotional, but also full of gratitude for the many ways she shaped who I am and even House of Tigernut.

See, as a kid, I was that child who refused real food. I just wanted snacks and anything sweet! My mom tried everything to get me to eat properly; natural foods, delicious homemade meals, nothing worked. In short she would call me “Natty”(If you know, you know). I was skinny just because I wouldn’t eat..

One day she brought home tigernuts from the market. I took one bite and fell in love.

Fast forward to today, after years of research and learning about its amazing benefits (especially for people living with diabetes, like my mom did), I’m proud to share this ancient superfood through House of Tigernut.

Big thanks to Evergreen Brick Works and @_bfotoronto for creating space for entrepreneurs like me to not just build businesses, but also process our emotions and even laugh through them. 💛

Thank you @daisyginou123 @meggiglover & Dave for the video.

🥣 From Earth to Bottle. From Kitchen to @evergreen_brick_works🥛✨

Ever wonder how your favourite gut-friendly superfood drinks are made? Here is a quick look behind the scenes!
It all starts in our production kitchen, where we take raw, sustainably sourced tigernuts (which are actually nutrient-dense root tubers, not nuts!) and fresh-press them into our creamy Chufa Drinks.

No dairy, no nut allergens, no filters; just pure prebiotic power, sweetened with whole dates and a touch of Ginger.
There is nothing better than handing over a freshly pressed, ice-cold bottle straight to you.

Whether you’re grabbing an Original for your weekend lattes or a Ginger Chufa to fuel your trail walk, thank you for supporting Us and choosing gut health!

📍 Find us every Saturday: @evergreen_brick_works
⏰ Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Customer: what is Tigernut?
Me: Tigernut is a root vegetable; a tuber free from nuts.
Customer: can I try?
Me: Yes you can.
Customer: Hmm 🧐 it’s delicious 😋 what is Tigernut good for?
Me: Thank you, Tigernut is Rich in fibre, great for your gut health, rich in iron, potassium and lots more..

Me: We make it 4 natural ingredients, with filtered water; Tigernut, coconut, dates and ginger. No gums or preservatives
Customer: Do I just take a shot every morning?
Me: That’s great, but you can also have it as a drink or dairy substitute anytime of the day.
Customer: Thank you, can I have a bottle, can I tap or you only accept cash?
Me: Yes you can and we accept all forms of payment, thank you! 😊
