243 people were baptized across Houston’s First on our Day of Baptism on Sun, Oct 25.   Every one of them trusted Jesus and decided it was time to tell their story out loud. If that’s you too - you don’t have to wait for Day of Baptism next year. We celebrate baptisms all year long.   Comment BAPTISM and we’ll send you more information about how to be baptized!        And to every family member and friend who showed up to cheer them on - thank you! That’s what community looks like, and it’s a reflection of Jesus’ love for all of us. by @houstonsfirst

For years, the women of our WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) have faithfully packed Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. We asked a few of them why, and their stories pointed to the same thing: a simple shoebox can make an eternal impact. Some have seen firsthand the need on the mission field and the joy of watching these shoeboxes reach children around the world. They’ve seen how a gift-filled box can become an opportunity to share the love of God and the hope of Jesus. This year, our goal is 1,000 filled shoeboxes across our campuses, and we’d love for you to help us get there. 📦 Pick up a shoebox at The Loop, Downtown, or Sienna, fill it, pray over it, and bring it back. 📍 Please note: • Sienna Campus collection: Sunday, Nov. 15 • The Loop & Downtown collection: Sunday, Nov. 22 Learn more about Christmas on Mission at HoustonsFirst.org 🎄🎁 #OperationChristmasChild #ChristmasOnMission #HoustonsFirst by @houstonsfirst

So many declarations of faith in Jesus. Countless reasons to celebrate! 🙌   This Sunday, friends and family cheered as their loved ones publicly declared, “I belong to Jesus.” What a joy to celebrate God’s goodness and grace together! 💙   Every baptism pointed to this truth: Salvation is a gift of God’s grace. We don’t have to prove we’re good enough. Jesus invites us to turn to Him for forgiveness and new life.   Jesus saves, and baptism declares our faith in Him!   Help us celebrate everyone who took this step! Were you baptized, or cheering on someone you love? Tell us below! 🎉 by @houstonsfirst
