Another look at our Day of Service…….this time, from the patient perspective. 💜🦷

Our partnership with the Guilford Native American Association is about more than providing dental treatment. It’s about listening to the communities we serve, building trust, and creating meaningful pathways to care.

With the support of @HenrySchein and @HenryScheinCares, we were able to serve 14 patients and provide more than $7,000 in dental treatment at no cost during our follow-up Day of Service at the HPU Health Clinic.

We are so grateful for our school @hpuwsdm for helping us and allowing us the opportunity to provide continuity of care.

And our work doesn’t stop here. If there’s a community you believe we can help bridge the gap in oral healthcare for, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to OHEC and let’s find a way to serve together. 💜

🦷 Welcome High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine Class of 2030!
Our Orientation luncheon kicked off with opening remarks from Dean Shazib, followed by valuable insights from NCDS members, Dr. Rick Gambella and Dr. Victoria Brotzman. Their remarks highlighted the importance of advocacy and the NCDS, leaning on faculty for support, and treating every patient with compassion, kindness, and the highest level of care.
Here’s to a successful year ahead and all that is to come for the Class of 2030! ✨ by @hpuwsdm

Last week, our D1 students reached a major milestone during our annual Block Party! 🦷💉

After learning the science behind local anesthesia, students spent the day practicing injection techniques on one another under close faculty supervision. With this milestone complete, they’re now prepared to begin administering local anesthesia to patients in clinic.

At HPU Workman School of Dental Medicine, we believe confidence comes through experience—and this is just the beginning.

Last week marked a historic milestone for High Point University Workman School of Dental Medicine as we celebrated the certificate ceremony for our inaugural AEGD residents and Oral Oncology fellows.

We are incredibly proud of each resident and fellow for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in patient care. As our first graduating cohorts, you have helped shape these programs and established a foundation for future generations of learners.

Congratulations on this remarkable achievement. We look forward to watching your continued success and the lasting impact you will make on the profession and the communities you serve.
