Celebrating excellence in dentistry! ✨

HPU Workman School of Dental Medicine had the honor of hosting the Pierre Fauchard Academy 2026 Induction Ceremony, recognizing dental professionals who exemplify leadership, service, integrity, and excellence within the profession.

We are especially proud to celebrate three of our very own WSDM faculty members who were inducted as Fellows into the Pierre Fauchard Academy! 🎉🦷 Their dedication to dentistry, education, and leadership continues to inspire the next generation of dental professionals.

HPU SNDA members were grateful to be in attendance and witness such a meaningful moment for our faculty and the dental community. Congratulations to all of the 2026 inductees! 💜

One step closer to Dr. Ashley Thomas, DMD 🦷🧚‍♀️

There was once a time when I could only pray to be in this moment. Now I’m living a million answered prayers to be white coated by my dad.

My dad never needed to understand dentistry to believe in my dream. He knew how much this meant to me, and he never stopped believing in me. From researching every part of the application process to “trying” to give me study tips reminding me that I probably shouldn’t study from my bed, and wouldn’t let up until I got that acceptance call. A moment I’ll never forget with tears in my eyes just to look up and see even more in his.

I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have the most supportive people in my corner. Now, more than anything, I just hope I can make them as proud of me as I am grateful to have them, and become the first doctor in our family.

🦷💙 Building a stronger campus community, one conversation at a time.

On September 8th, High Point University's School of Dental Medicine partnered with the Office of Counseling Services to complete Suicide Prevention for College Students (SPCS) Gatekeeper Trainings led by Prevention Coordinator Cassie King. Together, we trained 60 graduate students in recognizing warning signs, supporting peers, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources.

This training held special significance as it took place on 988 Day, a national day of action dedicated to raising awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Thank you to the School of Dentistry for prioritizing mental health and empowering students to support one another. We hope this collaboration inspires other programs to join us in creating a campus culture where everyone feels empowered to recognize concern, start conversations, and connect others to help.

Days filled with learning and an amazing lecture by Dr. Erick Souza at High Point University! Thank you so much, @ericksouza.endo , for sharing such complete and valuable content with our undergraduate students and AEGD residents, who had the opportunity to learn more about the Reciproc Blue system and experience it during the hands-on session.
A special thank you to Dentsply/ Sirona for supporting us throughout the event and providing all the kits and materials for our hands-on training. Your support made this experience even more special!
And congratulations to the HPU Endo Club @wsdm_endoclub for the care, dedication, and excellence in organizing such a wonderful event! So much learning, sharing, and passion for Endodontics!
