The past couple weeks have been rough. Doing some of the little things around the house has been hard. I never thought losing Thor would change so much in my every day life. Meal prepping sucks because I don’t have him laying at my feet eating broccoli and sweet potatoes. I hate cleaning because I don’t have him trying to destroy the vacuum every time it gets brought out. Not having to take him out every morning after doing it every single day for 13.5 years. Your spot on the couch… So much has changed. Today I brought you home to officially be with me forever. It gives me a little peace having you back but dang it’s hard. Tonight I had to say goodbye to my best friend, my soul dog. To say I’m broken and shattered would be a lie. You’re everything to me. We did everything together. From my first real relationship failing and couch hopping until we moved in with Dusty and Rob. Caleb came in the picture and we moved to Kansas City and now Georgia. You’ve lived in 3 states with us. You were there for Archie coming home and you two became the best of friends (everything I ever dreamed of). You were there for me for the divorce last year and helped me through some very hard times. You’ve done so much life with me and the thought of not coming home to you anymore breaks me. You’re finally pain free Thor baby. Thank you for giving me the best 13.5 years of my life. No dog is ever going to compare to you. I’ll love you in every life time. Give Knox a big kiss for me.
