Bartholomew is a Friday vibe! He’s been waiting such a long time for his forever home. Bart is such a fun dog! He has so much good energy and shouldn’t be spending his days cooped up in a kennel. He visited the @galleriaftlaud on his day out from @humanebroward and did great with everyone he met! He’d love a family to go on adventures with and be a part of the family! 💗🐾 THE VIOLET DIARIES 🐾💗

Dear Diary,

Today was a REALLY good day! 💕

There were car rides, shopping, treats, a pup cup, an adorable pink bucket hat, and even a dance party! Oh, and did I mention my famous Violet hugs? 🥹💃

For a few wonderful hours, I got to forget about shelter life and just be ME.

But here’s the part I wish more people understood…

I’m only 1 year and 3 months old, and I’ve been waiting at the Humane Society of Broward County since JULY. 💔

Kennel life is really hard for me. I get stressed, overwhelmed, and sometimes I jump because I don’t know what else to do.

Unfortunately, that’s the version of me most people see.

But I’m SO much more than my kennel behavior.

I’m affectionate, playful, silly, adventurous, and full of love. I give the BEST hugs, and apparently, I’m a pretty good dance partner, too! 💗

I don’t need someone to judge me by my hardest moments. I need someone willing to see the real me.

Please don’t walk past my kennel and assume you know my story. Come meet me. Give me a chance.

🐾 TOO MUCH ENERGY? WE THINK COCOA IS JUST PERFECT! ❤️

Meet Cocoa! This beautiful 2-year-old Staffy mix was adopted and then returned because she reportedly had too much energy. 💔

But the Cocoa WE know? She’s sweet, gentle, affectionate, and absolutely full of love. And as far as we’re concerned, her energy level is just perfect! ❤️

Cocoa loves being close to her people, soaking up head scratches, and sharing all the love she has to give. And those adorable little pita chip ears? We simply cannot get enough! 🥹

What makes her story even more heartbreaking is that Cocoa sits so quietly in her kennel, patiently waiting for someone to come take her out. She doesn’t demand attention. She just waits for her turn.

And somehow, this beautiful girl keeps getting overlooked.

Cocoa doesn’t need to be a different dog. She just needs a family who appreciates the wonderful dog she already is. A family who welcomes her playful energy, gives her the love and activity she deserves, and understands that bringing a dog home means making a lifelong commitment.

She’s only TWO years old. She has her whole life ahead of her. And she deserves so much more than watching that life pass by from inside a kennel. 💔

💙 BEAUTIFUL BLUE IS READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 💙🐾

One blue eye, one golden eye, and a heart full of love! 😍

Meet Blue, a stunning 5-year-old Siberian Husky mix waiting for her forever family at the Humane Society of Broward County!

Blue came to the shelter from another facility, so her past is a bit of a mystery. But one thing is certain — this girl is an absolute sweetheart! ❤️

She’s gentle, affectionate, walks beautifully on leash, appears to be housebroken, and takes treats ever so gently. Especially freeze-dried chicken! 🐔

Blue enjoys exploring, sniffing, and getting some exercise, but she’s equally happy leaning into you for affection and soaking up all the love she can get.

When we spent time with her, Blue decided she was ready to head back inside, so our photo session was a little shorter than planned! 😂 And that’s okay! We let her set the pace. ❤️

Blue is also finishing up her heartworm treatment, and what better way to begin her next chapter than with a loving family by her side?

At just 5 years old, she has so much love and life ahead of her.

Let’s get this beautiful girl out of the shelter and into the forever home she deserves! 🏡💙

💔 WHY IS NOBODY CHOOSING MOSES?

Look at those eyes. That face. That smile. 🥹❤️

Our beautiful Moses is getting overlooked, and we just don’t understand why.

One of our wonderful volunteer’s @laurynraguirre put together this special video to help Moses get the attention he deserves. Because sometimes all it takes is ONE person seeing ONE video to change a shelter dog’s entire life.

Moses doesn’t need thousands of people to fall in love with him. He just needs ONE. His person. His forever family. 🏡❤️

🐾❤️ JUPITER! THOSE EARS! THOSE EYES! THAT FACE! ❤️🐾

Meet Jupiter, a gorgeous 3-year-old boy with a heart as big as those magnificent ears! 🥹

Jupiter recently lost his home when his owner could no longer afford to care for him. And while he’s understandably been a little nervous adjusting to shelter life, this sweet boy is slowly showing everyone just how special he is.

And let me tell you… HE IS SPECIAL! ❤️

Jupiter absolutely loves people, affection, toys, and especially yummy treats! He’ll even greet you with a toy in his mouth! 🧸

In his previous home, Jupiter didn’t get to experience many walks or adventures. There is a whole world out there that this beautiful boy has yet to discover!

Imagine being the person who gets to show him. 🥹

His first exciting outings. New places to sniff. Walks together. Playtime. And most importantly, the comfort and security of knowing he is finally HOME.

Jupiter doesn’t need a perfect life. He just needs someone who will love him, include him, be patient as he adjusts, and make a lifelong commitment to him.

At just 3 years old, his next chapter is waiting to be written.

🌼 DAFFODIL. A little girl with an extraordinary spirit. 💛

At just 2 years old, Daffodil has already experienced abandonment, uncertainty, and more than any dog deserves.

She was found tied to a tree. 💔

A wonderful Good Samaritan brought her home and spent three weeks nursing her back to health, showering her with love, and desperately searching for someone to give her a forever home.

When that didn’t happen, Daffodil came to @humanebroward.

And what a remarkable little girl she is! 🥹

Her back legs are bent, almost like little frog legs. We don’t know why. But here’s what we DO know…

🌼 She LOVES people.
🌼 She LOVES toys and playing fetch.
🌼 She’s a lap dog and a professional kiss giver.
🌼 She’s happy, playful, affectionate, and incredibly resilient.

Daffodil doesn’t dwell on her past. She’s too busy enjoying every moment of life.

We are forever grateful to the beautiful soul who rescued her and helped her learn to trust and love.

Now it’s time for someone to give Daffodil what she’s always deserved. A family. A home. A lifetime of love.

She may be a little different on the outside, but her heart is absolutely perfect. 💛

The Panthers are playing RIGHT NOW, and our adorable 8-month-old Charming is cheering extra loud for his favorite player, Sam Bennett #9! 🏒❤️

But Charming has an even bigger wish… 🥹

He would LOVE to be watching Tuesday night’s Panthers game from the comfort of his very own FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️

This sweet little boy is playful, affectionate, and gaining more confidence every day! He has so much love to give and an entire lifetime of adventures ahead of him.
