🎶 OUR ALBUM -
"Here Comes The Mind, There Goes The Body"
has been birthed into this world for 2 weeks now 🎶
.
.
❤️ Eternal love and thanks to @wrong_speed_records for helping us get there and get it out and about ❤️
.
.
Some very wonderful people have said some wonderfully kind words about it, hark at the screenshots and the links below

Thank you for taking the time to put digital pen to paper, and spread the buttery word of our album all over the toasted bread of the musical release world
.
.
🥰 More thanks to the excellent one's who have bought said album - honestly, we still get pretty dumbfounded by the support and feedback we get 🥰
.
We're just two mates who wanted to make some noise for the fun times, and as some kind of way of making sense of the general batshittery of existence
.
What I'm trying to say is that it really means a lot to us that what we do is received in any kind of positive way
.
.
✨ You rule, we love you, a million trillion bajillion thanks forever and a day ✨
.
.
P.S - You can buy our album at a show or below (if that tickles your fancy)

.
P.P.S - thanks to Echoes and Dust for absolutely getting exactly what we're all about, and making me do a cry cos of that
.
.
🙌 "The rage in the music isn’t coming from a burning black pit of hate, it’s the ambient horror of helplessness as the world burns around you and no-one seems to care, “This Is Fine”. The anger isn’t coming at you, it’s alongside you, a chance to release that background fury that makes it surprisingly fun for something so loud and shouty." 🙌

✨ OUR ALBUM HAS BEEN OUT FOR A YEAR ✨
Cheers if you've listened, own it, or just think what we're doing is worthy of giving it any of your time from any of your days
.
.
Decided to do an explain of the lyrics to mark this passage of time, so here we go
.
👉 Track 3:
"Existence Is Not A Solo Sport"
.
.
📸 - @owlbailey

Kinda does what it says on the tin really, humans, we exist, on this big chunk of planet floating about in that there space, and we certainly don't do it alone
.
There's you, there's me, there's a whole lot of other humans and a whole heap of other life in the form of animals, plants, fungi, bacteria etc etc etc
.
Basically a whole heap of squiggly, squirmy life forms, blossoming all over the world, in one big undulating hot pot of existence
.
It's all of us, it's none of us, and it's all way bigger than any of us can even comprehend
.
Somehow all these different forms of life that have sprung up over the years (around 3.5 billion of them to be precise), exist in a way that mostly complements, exists symbiotically, or at least mostly just lets other life just get on with doing their thang, without too much fuckery that could destroy the delicate, intertwined dance that is the balance of life
.
Then there's humans, well some humans at least, who don't see it this way at all
.
They see their own existence as the pinnacle, the tippy top of what matters in the world, the centre of theirs and everyone's universe
.
I believe they now call it "main character energy" or something, like it's somehow a desirable thing to achieve
.
I call it being a selfish prick

Cos it's just simply not true, no singular human is more worthy than another
"No-one does it all by themselves"
.
Cos even without needing to get all existential about it or shit, every single one of us is reliant on other humans for our existence
.
Obviously our loved ones, our family, our friends, our colleagues, but there's also a whole load of humans we will never meet or know, who contribute to the global infrastructure that we've all become reliant on
.
"The home you built, no brick touched
Clothed your back, bought as much"
.
There's people all over the world who are subjected to working i by @human.leather

✨ OUR ALBUM HAS BEEN OUT FOR A WHOLE YEAR TODAY ✨
.
"Here Comes The Mind, There Goes The Body"
.
.
Wild times
.
.
To mark this passage of time, I've decided to make some posts about the songs, the lyrics, and what exactly it is I am doing all that shouting about
.
Cos:
.
1.) You can't reeeaally hear what exactly it is I am saying
2.) Despite the incomprehensible garbling,
I really am trying to say something (mostly about the pains of being alive in world that values cruelty as a form of social and actual currency)
.
.
ANYWAY
.
👉 TRACK NUMBER 1 (technically 2 cos of the intro)
Dark Depths and Surface Tension
.
.
📸 - @owlbailey

Hard blows never settle
Waves ridden on the crest
Tides turn, come to meddle
Tight ships come to rest
.
On the floor, on the bed
In the depths of my own head
In the pits, caved in
Sand’s quick I’ve sunk in
.
Pennies dropped cause a ripple
Shadows cast rife with doubt
A steady rock never simple
Edged cliffs to climb out
.
Of the floor, off the bed
Out the depths of my own head
In the pits, caved in
Sand’s quick I’ve sunk in
.
Watching, as light hits the bay
Clutching, as night becomes day
.
Captain won’t go down with the boat
The captain wants a say
.
Sinking, heart’s in my boots
Fictions, making sense more than the truth
Seeking, for answers that may
Find me, not questioning everything
One day

For someone who can be such a smiley bastard, I don't half struggle with my mental health
.
Tears of a clown and all that jazz
.
Not going to get too personal here, but I, like many many others, have had to survive things in childhood and in life in general, that in an ideal world, no one would be subject to
.
But unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world
.
There's plenty that like to pretend we do, we live in a world seemingly shrouded in toxic positivity and unspoken societal demands of performative, consistent unbridled joy for life
.
But the reality is, life is fucking hard and fucking miserable for a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons, and unfortunately we live in a world where understanding and support is not always available for those who need it most
.
There's definitely times you can be vulnerable and raw with your pain, a by @human.leather

💪 KINO LIVES 2026 Week 4: this Sat 22nd Aug!
🎶 @human.leather + @grubbing_band + @belleroyalsband
🎟️ Tickets on Headfirst
🕶️ Co-promoted w/ @sunglassesafterdarkbristol
🧑‍🎨 Artwork by @lauriecousins_art

🫱 HUMAN LEATHER
@human.leather
Furious two-piece of bass & drums destruction. Sitting somewhere between noise rock and sludge punk, this DIY outfit have been gracing stages and peeling skin from listeners’ faces, since May 2016. During that time gigging up & down the UK, from DIY house shows to supporting Mclusky, Big Business, Part Chimp, Viagra Boys, USA Nails and Jucifer, Human Leather have delivered their chaotic savagery to all ventures and venues seeking aural abomination.

🫱 GRUBBING
@grubbing_band
Art pop drum-bass-violin three piece grubbing (fka big pigeon) re-emerge from hibernation to engage in musings on life, digital love, cleanliness and despair. FFO: Deerhoof, gilla band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs

🫱 BELLE ROYALS
@belleroyalsband
Newcastle/Bristol based two-piece noise rock outfit” FOR FANS OF: The I.L.Ys, The Fall, The Jesus Lizard

🎶 Every Saturday this August, ‘Kino Lives’ takes over with some of Bristol’s freshest and finest live acts, celebrating 2 decades of independent culture, queer joy, DIY creativity and doing things differently.

🙏 Kino has spent 22 years giving Bristol’s artists, collectives, outsiders and lovely weirdos a place to meet, make things and make noise, as well as being a vital community space in central Bristol for trans, POC and queer folk.

🫶 Kino is currently under threat of closure and we urgently need to raise funds to sustain our home on Stokes Croft and keep its doors open.

🎟️ Buying a ticket (and adding a donation if you can) supports the people onstage while helping save an essential independent space.

💪 KINO LIVES. Help keep it that way! X taken in Cafe Kino by @human.leather
