A recap of my dj set at @radio.sofa , playing at my homie @dearmpthy's show, Universe Convenience.

I built my set around the prompt “Key in the Ignition,” inspired by the Ace of Wands tarot card, alongside the Oblique Strategies card “Emphasize Differences,” a tool for overcoming creative blocks.

Thanks to Joanne, Radio Sofa, and all the good friends who were there :) taken in Paris, France by @humanoo_

🐾CHIGUIRO&FRIENDS
CROTCH GOBLIN invites HUMANO on @rinsefrance

HUMANO is an Ecuadorian producer, DJ, and multi-disciplinary artist who began his musical journey at 12 as a percussionist and drummer, later expanding into singing, composition, and Sound Engineering & Acoustics. Since 2016 he has been performing as a producer and DJ, shaping a distinctive sound that has carried his music across Latin America and now Europe, where he is currently based in Paris. His last single “Lo Que Quiero” - released on Chiguiro records- conveys the Latin sounds, the dance, the club energy, and the electronic aesthetic that HUMANO likes to bring. He is my guest for this new show !

The acoustics of lightning

Thunder is the acoustic signature of lightning. The sudden heating of the air creates a shock wave that propagates through the atmosphere, carrying information about the discharge and its environment.

• 120–140 dB SPL
• 5–30 s acoustic signature
• Energy spanning infrasound to ultrasonic frequencies taken in Paris, France by @humanoo_

As part of an environmental acoustics and psychoacoustics research project I’m conducting in the city, I’d like to share some of the sounds I’ve been documenting and preserving through field recordings.

This research explores how people perceive their acoustic environment, investigating which sounds are considered pleasant, meaningful, or restorative, and which are perceived as annoying or intrusive.

Through these recordings, I aim to capture fragments of urban life, hidden textures, and sonic moments that often go unnoticed.
