According to Jeffrey Pritzker, the executive vice president of Brawner Builders, six workers from the company are believed to have perished in the incident, while one worker has been hospitalized. Pritzker mentioned that the crew was positioned at the center of the bridge when the collision occurred, leading to the collapse of the structure. Despite ongoing efforts, the bodies of the workers have not been located. The Pyxis Ocean, upgraded with innovative WindWings sails, has proven the remarkable fuel-saving potential of wind power in shipping. During its extensive journeys across major oceans, this Mitsubishi vessel has demonstrated daily fuel savings of up to 11 tonnes. According to John Cooper of BAR Technologies, the success of this trial could revolutionize the industry, potentially making wind propulsion a standard for new ships by 2025. These sails not only represent a leap towards reducing the maritime industry's carbon footprint but also align with the International Maritime Organisation's goals for a cleaner future. Cargill's optimistic response to the trial outcomes further emphasizes the industry's readiness for sustainable innovations. by @humansatsea
