Today our dearest friend and bandmate Josh Wolak left this world peacefully after a 5-year journey with glioblastoma. He brought so much joy to our lives, our music, and our adventures. Together we made five albums, played over 500 shows, traveled countless miles, had so many band sleepovers, saw much of the US, sailed the Caribbean, and even toured in Central Asia. The memories and bonds we created are forever, and we will carry his spirit with us always.

Josh embodied joy and approached life with curiosity, creativity, and a zest that few possess.
He was a lifetime friend, and we will miss him dearly. We’re so grateful to have shared this adventure of life with such a light. More memories to follow soon…

Join Us to Celebrate the Life of Joshua Wolak Feb 28th in Nashville

Please join us for a special evening as we honor and celebrate the incredible life of our beloved friend, Joshua Wolak. This gathering will reflect the joy, love, and passion he brought to every moment—from his music and friendships to his love of games and New Orleans.

📅 Date: February 28
⏰ Time: 6:30–9:30 PM (Picking Party to follow!)
📍 Location: Eastside Bowl, Madison, TN

The night will feature performances from musicians who shared their hearts and stages with Joshua, including @humminghouse, Angus Whyte & The Irish Rednecks, Hickory Slims, and special guests . Together, we’ll laugh, share memories, and celebrate a life lived with genuine joy.

Join us in wishing @6enuine9oy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳 We celebrated Josh this week by surprising him in San Diego along with many other dear friends from across the country. It was an incredible gathering complete with an epic string jam. Kudos to @msjalee for putting together such a lovely party 👏🏼

Dear Humming House Community,

Our own Joshua Wolak @6enuine9oy is battling stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer and is in need of love and support. He's been on this difficult journey, against the odds, since September 2019 and recently has had a resurgence. Josh is now on a waiting list for surgery and is in need of help covering medical and living expenses.

Our friend is truly a bright light, a chaser of dreams, and a talented musician/songwriter that we hold very dear. Please consider supporting Joshua and donating if you are able.
