A lot has been happening at Huncwot this year. We are beginning to share our latest work, starting with Blue Corridors for @wwf_australia — a project about whale migration, built in collaboration with Ode and the Related Stories coalition, and winner of a Webby Award and a Gold KTR in Data Visualization.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve had the privilege of working with the wonderful team at Incite Institute at Columbia University ( @incite.columbia )to develop an innovative approach to oral history storytelling.

The project documents eight years of Barack Obama’s presidency, bringing together hundreds of interviews, from influential figures like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, to dozens of individuals whose lives were shaped by Obama’s time in office in very different ways. That’s a remarkable range of perspectives and contexts.

We were given space, confidence, and trust, a rare combination on a project of this scale, and we approached it with full commitment.

The full archive is now available. Using the interactive tools we’ve created, you can explore the interviews in multiple ways and, hopefully, build your own perspective on the events that shaped our recent history.

Maze is a next-gen security platform where modern AI makes complex decisions in seconds. They’ve just locked in a $31 million funding round. We were happy to design and develop their flagship site, with use of a visual cloud system to illustrate their capabilities. {Link in bio}
