POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Which film do you like the most based on the logline? And which one should we make first?

Also, which one would you like to act in it?

LOGLINES:

Garbage Rex: Confined to a wheelchair and a controlling marriage, Ophelia has visions of a homeless man’s death. When her husband’s new blog features the man alive, she becomes obsessed with saving him.

Fertility Heist: A blind former fireman enters a secluded, fundamentalist cult to rescue his wife, only to discover that the daughter he thought died in a fire a decade ago is alive and being groomed as the cult’s next "Fertility Queen."

Necrx: After the suicide of her troubled son, a grief-stricken therapist retreats to an isolated woodland sanctuary, where a mysterious caretaker manipulates her into believing she can resurrect him-- if she’s willing to sacrifice another life.

Holiday Kill: when a vigilante serial killer discovers a secret travel agency that arranges “holiday packages” for murderers, she infiltrates their twisted getaway—only to find herself trapped in a deadly game where every guest is a killer and survival becomes the ultimate destination.

We didn’t create Hunyifilms to follow the system.
We created it to make space for stories that don’t fit inside it.

Amazing movie night at the Cafè de l'Opera in Barcelona with the Cineforum community.

We had the pleasure to present the goals of our company and show 3 of our short films that will be streamed soon on platforms.

It was an honor for us to see all the people very interested in the stories and characters, opening very interesting debates regarding the films' topics.

Email us at info@hunyifilms.com if you want to collaborate with us or organize an event together!

Private Event: "Three stories. One unforgettable night".

When? June 20th, 2026 starting at 18:00h

Where? Café de l'Opera, Barcelona

Three shorts, three worlds, and one night guaranteed to spark conversation: psychological mystery with Boxed In, selected at the London International Filmmakers Festival and Berlin Shorts Award; social commentary with Garbage Rex, a semifinalist at the Washington Film Awards and winner at the Paris Film Awards; and demonic fantasy set in Barcelona with For the Love of Daniel, selected at the WSXA Barcelona International Film Festival.

A brief, intense, and award-winning screening session designed to be enjoyed, discussed, and debated.

The director is Steve Hunyi, founder and CEO of Hunyifilms, an independent production company based in Barcelona. A psychiatrist turned filmmaker, he works as a director, screenwriter, and producer, with a particular interest in stories about vulnerable, marginalized, and often overlooked characters.
