One of my favorite weekends of the year. Love my DTU @danceteamunion fam & thankful to the AIA staff for having us out to judge the amazing talent in my home state of Arizona. I remember going to watch state when Kylee’s VDL teams were always repeat state champs…and I also ran a couple of high school dance programs back then. To see the growth of these AZ high school pom/dance teams the past decade+ is amazing to witness! SO MUCH TALENT! 🤩 by @hutton1rdc

What a fun weekend & opportunity! Remy was cast as a contestant for the first season of @abbyvscathy Hit the 8! Dance Battle. We flew out to Houston to film. I am so proud of her. We had to choose a song from a list of random music….thanks to @brittanylents for helping us throw something together the day before we left. I told her that might be one of the most nerve racking & intense auditions of her life & she handled it like a pro. Fun fact: she has only danced on stage by herself 4 times total & 2 were at One Rhythm lol. She doesn’t do solos often, but she rose to the occasion & performed beautifully! Took the “feedback” like a champ! Memories to last a lifetime. @remy.blaise.dance your untapped potential is ridiculous! She’s the third dancer in our family & we are heavy in growing our dance business, so we are a bit spread thin 🤪, but once her confidence peaks just watch this girl fly! 🚀 Tune in to see how she did! 😉 by @hutton1rdc

When I saw @nodoubt would be playing at @spherevegas on my 45th birthday I knew where I’d be! Hopped on a plane with my 23 year old daughter @kylee.peck & hit the town! 🤘🏼🎸❤️🎲 by @hutton1rdc

There’s no feeling quite like watching a room full of dancers all connected by the same passion. I’ve poured my heart into building this for the past 13 years, and weekends like this remind me exactly why.

I also would not be able to do this without my daughter @kylee.peck who was only 11 years old when she first started “working” for me….and is now my DJ, my awards manager, stage hand who helps me with hard labor like laying & rolling marley and all the literal heavy lifting. We leave these weekends completely exhausted, but fulfilled.

Thank you to my ridiculously talented friends who are my teachers. I’m extremely selective about who I bring in & I’ll put my team up against any other event out there. They are THE best! I mean accolades are cool, but I care about quality dance education & that’s the difference. It’s always been impact over popularity.

1R is different. Always has been & always will be. Family owned > corporate all day when it comes to the arts!

If you have never been….what are you waiting for?

Already counting down to the 2027 tour. 🤍 @onerhythmdance by @hutton1rdc
