Oct 14th I had the pleasure of beginning paratrooper jump training as my grandfather Sgt. Joe Harris of the 555 Paratrooper Infantry Battalion aka The Triple Nickles once did during WWII. In June while celebrating his 108th birthday @wwiibeyondthecall @thekingdl @imjordandavid @m_marty and @libertyjumpteam challenged me to complete a mission (jump training). Not knowing exactly what I was getting myself into I said “Let’s do it!” This was an experience of a lifetime that I will NEVER FORGET as long as I live. Jumping out of Cessnas and then C47 planes just as Papa did during WWII got me emotional at one point because in the moment I finally understood how powerful of a full circle moment of what I was doing truly was. To the amazing men and women veterans that I met, I genuinely love you and thank you for your service, the bond and relationships we’ve built can never be broken this is your day and we thank and salute you! A lot have asked why are you jumping out of perfectly good airplanes all of a sudden 😂 Well Valentines Day Weekend I will be jumping in Tuskegee, AL where the US Military will be honoring my grandfather by officially naming the landing zone where the paratroopers train Sgt Joe Harris LZ and I will be the first person landing on it under his name as his grandson. So I hope you enjoy my 1st reel ever on IG of this experience and send love to our fellow veterans today. HAPPY VETERANS DAY! AIRBORRRRRRNE!!!
