Good evening, messengers of the world.

Here in Berlin, we’re facing an economic crisis fuelled by broken fax machines. Unable to send anything, commerce has ground to a halt. Your presence is urgently required for physical deliveries.

Join us May 14-18 2026 for #ECMC2026

Please send us an email at ifbmacouncil@gmail with a pitch and any questions you might have.

You’ll need to have your pitch ready to present @cmwc2026 in May, where there will be a vote to decide the next host city. Get involved!

If you need some time to finish a formal proposal or have questions about what that should include, please email us in advance to get the submission started. We would appreciate hearing from you and beginning to work with you sooner, rather than later.

If your organization will have difficulty sending a representative to CMWC to present your bid, please share this information with us on your email so we can assist with representation.

Formalisation of bid awarding will be handled at CMWC Milano. Thank you and we look forward to your submission.

Your friends at the IFBMA Council.

The IFBMA Council is excited to endorse Bogotá, Colombia as the host for CMWC 2027! We look forward to the opportunity to support the Bogotá community, particularly after the interruption of the pandemic made their hosting CMWC 2020 impossible to realize. Expect to hear more from the Bogota Organizing Team in the coming weeks to see them present in person at CMWC Milano in May.

Word on the mean streets of Bratislava is some of your favorite Slovakians are conspiring to host @ecmc2027 in their capital city!
Offering a rich and unique messenger culture, developed independently from the mess-culture of Western Europe, Bratislava bousts a robust and active Alleycat scene, in a city dripping with UNESCO heritage, nestled in the heart of Central Europe.
Prepare for the full presentation at @ecmc2026 Berlin in May and buckle up to hit that eastbound causeway in 2027, Bratislava is calling 📞🇸🇰🚴🏼 by @i.f.b.m.a

Let’s see here folks lot of information incoming, so Fred Marshall here writing this message. I’m a member of the ifbma and the ifbma has nothing to do with naccc but I’ve volunteered the last few naccc’s to help facilitate the forum. Last year at naccc Guadalajara was allowed to put in a proxy bid cause they couldn’t send anyone across the boarder cause of visa’s. They ended up winning the bid, I told their representative that a person from Guadalajara would need to be at naccc in Vancouver to confirm the bid, he promised one would be there. I also believe I said this to the community at large during the announcement at the awards party. Recently I have reached out and found out that Guadalajara will not be sending anyone from the city to confirm the bid. When I tired to get some more information I got radio silence from their representative from naccc last year and I have not heard anything from them. So even though the naccc hasn’t ever officially confirmed the same guide lines for cmwc we have followed the precedent of the cmwc/ifbma guide lines in the past when working out bidding and finding host cities. Which means it looks like we will have to find a new host for 2026 and a host for 2027 as well unfortunately. If Guadalajara sends a last minute representative to Vancouver all of this becomes moot, but being ready with a back up plan is always a great idea. So at the forum in Vancouver we will need to find 2026/27 host and talk about this situation so we can avoid it in the future, if there is no city who can to step up to host in 2026 we will have to talk about what to do. This is an unfortunate situation and I know we can find a solution to this issue. The forum will take place on Saturday after qualifying, I would expect it to take a bit longer than normal so just keep that in mind everyone. Voting will start after the forum and run up until the awards party per usual. The naccc organizers have enough on there plate with the event so reach out to me @frd_mrshall with any questions by @i.f.b.m.a
