HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! 52 pushed me, shaped me, and made me stronger. Two marathons, two half marathons, two sprint tris, and endless miles of training. I grew. I learned. I showed up. Here’s to 53- whatever it brings, I’m ready. # birthday #marathon #runner #athlete #triathlete by @i.run.for.nick

This past month has been an incredible journey — one that ended with me crossing the finish line of the TCS New York City Marathon on 11/2 🏅💙

As part of Team Inspire, 26 runners — each representing one mile — we set out to show how running can help us rise above life’s toughest challenges.

For me, that challenge was myasthenia gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune disease that once left me unable to walk, talk, or breathe on my own. But this experience reminded me how blessed I am — because without MG, I never would’ve been part of this incredible team with such inspiring stories.

To my teammates — thank you for your perseverance and heart. I’ll be cheering you on always. Thank you to NYRR for selecting me and sharing my story. You’ve made this an incredible experience.

And to anyone facing their own uphill battle… no matter how hard life gets, you too can overcome. 💪💙 #TeamInspire #tcsnycmarathon #worldwithoutmg #mg #run #marathon by @i.run.for.nick

THIS IS IT! 36 years ago my training began. I used to walk around Packanack Lake, then I graduated to walk/run- walk to a telephone pole, then run to the next, then walk, fall, fail and then start again. TODAY, I take on the TCS NYC Marathon as one massive victory lap! I’ve conquered MG and now it’s time to celebrate at the biggest, most iconic marathon in the world! 55,000 runners including my teammates, Team Inspire- 26 individuals selected to represent each mile in the marathon because of their inspirational stories and how we’ve used running to transform our lives. This is a very special day for me and I’m so proud to represent the 75,000 myasthenics still searching for hope. This is you for! #marathon #tcsnycmarathon #tcsnycmarathon #teaminspire @nycmarathon by @i.run.for.nick

Wow! So blessed to match alongside my fellow Team Inspire teammates in the TCS NYC Marathon opening ceremony yesterday! Team Inspire is a select group of 26 athlete’s with inspiring stories and how we’ve used the transformative power of running to overcome. I run for the 75,000 who continue to overcome MG. Can’t wait to run tomorrow with the team and with the 55,000 others in this iconic race. #tcsnycmarathon #marathon #worldwithoutmg #mg #teaminspire #mgstrong #nyrr #everystepcounts #faithoverfear by @i.run.for.nick

I’m taking on the TCS NYC Marathon on 11/4 in honor of the 75,000 people who continue to overcome Myasthenia Gravis (MG). Time to show MG who is stronger- I’m betting on ME! #tcsnycmarathon #marathon #worldwithoutmg #mg #teaminspire by @i.run.for.nick

Just when I think it can’t get anymore exciting, ABC News sends a crew to interview me! Just 9 days until the TCS New York City Marathon… and I’m so excited to be a part of Team Inspire, a group of 26 individuals- each representing one mile in the marathon and who has used running to help overcome adversity. I run for the 75,000 myasthenics because I CAN! I may be in remission, but I won’t forget you. Please consider donating to the MG Foundation and help sponsor my run. 🏃‍♀️ link 🔗 in bio! #tcsnycmarathon #mg #worldwithoutmg #marathon by @i.run.for.nick

Running the 2025 TCS @nycmarathon is more than a race, it’s a full-circle moment in my journey with MG and I’m excited to take on this incredible challenge on 11/2.

What makes it even more special is that I was selected as 1 of only 26 athletes for Team Inspire, created by @nyrr and the TCS New York City Marathon. Each of us represents one of the 26 miles of this legendary race, sharing stories of resilience, survival, and hope. Together, we embody the transformative power of running and the spirit of New York City.

My journey began 36 years ago, when I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune disease that robbed me of my strength until I could no longer walk, talk, or even breathe on my own. Doctors told me this would define my life. And they were right, but not in the way they imagined.

Despite decades of infusions, medications, and setbacks, the disease that was supposed to break me instead built my strength, resilience, and determination. Today, I’m six years symptom-free, running, and preparing to take on the most iconic marathon in the world - the BEST day of the year, in the BEST city in the world - watched by two million spectators and hundreds of millions of viewers tuning in from home.

And as I stand at the starting line on 11/2, shoulder to shoulder with 55,000 runners and alongside my fellow Team Inspire teammates, I’ll be thanking God for this miraculous moment.

If you’d like to learn more about MG or support my run, please consider donating to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. Link in bio.

For DECADES, MG (myasthenia gravis) robbed me of my strength, making it hard and sometimes impossible to walk, talk, and even breathe. But NOT TODAY. TODAY I am a triathlete, and I wear this title as a reminder of everything I’ve had to overcome to get to this moment. MG didn’t win today, I DID and it feels oh so good. Thank you God, and thank you to my family and friends for your love, support, and encouragement every step of the way. #MGStrong #IrunforNick #Triathlete #MGWarrior #FaithOverFear #EveryStepCounts #triathlete #triathlon #brigantine #mg #marathon #ocd @kelleydiva by @i.run.for.nick
