I had the entire weekend to let it all sink in and I just can’t feel more grateful than I do at this moment.

I thought becoming a mother meant I would spend my life teaching her.

Instead, she has spent hers teaching me.

About strength. Grace. Courage. Patience. Unconditional love. And finding joy even after life has changed you.

I may be guiding her as she grows, but she is growing me right alongside her.

She will always be my baby, but she has also become one of my greatest teachers.

And maybe that’s one of the most beautiful parts of motherhood—we raise them, never realizing how much they are raising us too. 🤍

Faith and me…

We’ve been through some things.

There were seasons when my faith was strong and unwavering, and others when all I had left was the smallest whisper of hope.

I’ve prayed with gratitude. I’ve prayed through tears. I’ve prayed for miracles, for answers, for strength, and sometimes simply for the courage to make it through another day.

And somewhere along the way, I learned that faith isn’t always about understanding God’s plan. Sometimes it’s choosing to trust even when life looks nothing like the life you prayed for.

My faith has been questioned, stretched, shaken, and rebuilt.

But it has remained.

And so have I.

I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know I don’t walk into it alone. 🤍

Sometimes gratitude looks like using what we have—our time, our hands, our hearts—to serve someone else.

I thought I was teaching Peanut a lesson.

I thought we were going there to make a difference.

But somewhere in that weekend, we became the ones who were changed.

There are experiences that quietly rearrange something inside of you. They shift your perspective. They remind you how little we actually need, how much we have to give, and how deeply connected we all are.

We witnessed gratitude in places where we expected to find need. We found joy where we expected hardship. And we were reminded that some of the richest moments in life have absolutely nothing to do with what we own.

The right people won’t ask you to shrink yourself to make them comfortable. They won’t make you question whether your heart, your personality, your dreams, or your presence take up too much space.

The right people will appreciate the parts of you that others may not have understood.

So stop dimming your light just to fit into places you’ve outgrown.

You are not meant to be less so someone else can be comfortable with more of you.

Keep showing up as yourself.

Because for the right people, you won’t be “too much.”

The only person I need to outgrow is the version of me who existed yesterday.

A little wiser.
A little stronger.
A little more disciplined.
A little more at peace.
A little closer to the person I’m becoming.

Some days, growth looks like taking a huge leap forward. Other days, it simply looks like choosing not to fall back into old patterns.

I don’t need to be better than anyone else.

I just want to keep becoming better than I used to be.
