I love Tuesdays! It’s a double-hitter: Bible study with the youth @iam24.7, then with @cohesion_clt. But this afternoon, these young men latched on to Latin, the Munus Triplex, as we continue to talk about what it means to be made for more. We talked about the role of the prophet, priest, and king, and being open to God bringing them together because they are anointed for MORE! And yes, we used THOSE terms!

The worst thing we can do with youth is try to act like they don’t want to learn. The best thing we can do is remember to challenge them because they can. The next generation is ready to learn and walk into what God has for them. I think the real question is: Are we ready to teach them? Are we ready for more? by @iam24.7

July kicked off our “Just Me, For Justice” summer experience. Designed to help students ages 13-18 connect their faith with the work of justice! As God calls us to do in Micah 6:8.

In collaboration with @witnesschurchclt, @iam24.7, and coach @mrgreghjackson , we took our youth to #JohnsonCSmithUniversity to learn more about the colleges rich history.

We had an amazing time connecting with our youth, showing them some hidden gems in the city. And we can’t wait until the next adventure!

Do you have a young person that you would like to get involved in this community?

Invite them to one of our Bible studies that take place on Sunday’s:

10AM at Witness Church located at 635 Pressley Rd F, Charlotte, NC 28217

Or

6:30PM with Cohesion located at 3700 Prosperity Church Rd.

Hope to meet you there!

After a long summer of daily camp led by our unbelievably kind, gifted, patient, energetic staff and student leaders, we had a graduation ceremony of sorts to commemorate all they did together for six weeks. The greatest fruit is hearing their memories of bonding in the name of Jesus and knowing that the soil of their hearts is precious, precious ground. Nothing like the summers theme verse being written on their hearts. 🫶🏾 by @iam24.7

BEAMING with pride and love for these Myers Park 2024 graduates!!!!! They have each put immense effort and WORK into succeeding in their academics, with many attending out of state universities and HBCU’s after this. They are just fantastic young men + one honorary lady. We have been deeply honored to have a front row seat in each of their lives for over a decade. ‘It takes a village’ really rings true as the years go on, we’ve had roots in Grier Heights for 16 plus years which means we’ve been able to literally watch these guys grow up. Countless tutors and coaches have been a part of their lives, and we might never know the mutual impact. We shed tears of joy today cheering them on and the cheering won’t stop, because this is just the beginning! Please share your love for our newest I AM 24/7 graduates, Destiny Alaisia, Josh, Stack, Keith, Ja’Hari, Malachi, and Keith (Harding University High School)!!!!!We are fiercely proud of you!!!! God is SO near in this new season! UTMOST CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Also, thanks to all who came to celebrate them on Saturday night, who thinks we should share that senior slideshow on insta?! by @iam24.7

Today was incredibly special. Charlotte FC chose our nonprofit to feature in honor of the late Atlanta United player who passed away, #AntonWalkes since he played for both CLT and ATL. We received the kindest royal treatment and immense fun was had by ALL. Thank you for treating us with such southern hospitality and for all the new memories we got to make today! ⚽️ taken in Bank of America Stadium by @iam24.7

We’ve been silent for a few years on social media but hopefully this speaks for itself. Our family has grown in depth and breadth…. and on some special nights, even the alumni come back to show the younger guys how it’s done on the court. We couldn’t possibly be more grateful for our FAMILY and all those who have called it theirs. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support and prayers over all these beautiful years. by @iam24.7
