A few months ago, I met a business owner who was convinced she needed more customers.

Every month, she spent money on advertising.

More ads.

More promotions.

More effort trying to bring new people through the door.

But when I asked her a simple question:

“How many customers came back last month?”

She didn’t know.

That answer explained everything.
