From the very beginning, you were feisty and ready for the world! You’ve always kept us on our toes, fighting for your independence and proving to yourself that you are smart, strong, and capable of doing anything you put your mind to.

Your strength is unmatched. Your wit has had us ROLLING 😂, and you are loving, loyal, and always ready to ride out for us! LOL. God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave me you—you keep me motivated and remind me to keep pushing.

I dare not let this day pass without telling my amazing son, Jo Jo HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ❤️🎉
As you continue to mature, my prayers for you shift. I pray for a peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray for your joy and happiness as a Black man. I pray that God blesses you with your helpmate—someone who desires to love and honor you the way you will love and honor her.

I pray for your health, your strength, and your well-being. I pray that this year, God blesses you with even more wisdom, discernment, and understanding to accomplish all of the desires He has placed in your heart.

Most of all, I pray that your relationship with our Heavenly Father continues to grow deeper and stronger. 🙏🏾

And I thank God for the relationship we share. Even as an adult, I’m grateful that He has allowed you to continue to honor me and trust your mom’s opinion. That means more to me than you know.

Today I celebrate 6 years cancer-free. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has absolutely been worth it. Surviving cancer is only part of the story—the aftermath and healing process is a journey of its own, and it continues every day.
I’m deeply grateful to God, and incredibly thankful for the love, encouragement, and unwavering support from my family and friends throughout this journey.
This experience has strengthened me in ways I never imagined. The road continues, and I’m embracing it with gratitude, resilience, and purpose. by @iamdrmcgee
