My baby started 4th grade today! 💕📚

I truly don’t know where the time has gone. It feels like just yesterday I was holding her little hand, watching her take her first steps, and now she is growing into such a beautiful, smart, and amazing young lady right before my eyes.

Watching her grow makes my heart so full, but it is definitely emotional too. I’m so proud of the person she is becoming, even though a part of me wishes I could slow time down just a little.

First and foremost, I want to take a moment to give all honor and praise to God for waking me up in my right mind each day and allowing me to celebrate the wonderful age of 45.🙏🏾

Secondly, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to wish me a happy birthday, whether it was today or yesterday. Your kind words and warm wishes mean the world to me, and I am truly grateful for all the birthday love! 🎉❤️

I tried my best to thank everyone personally, but if I missed you, please know that I appreciate you so much and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Here’s to another year of blessings and cherished moments! 💖

🌟 Happy Thursday 🌟

Today is National Day of Prayer. Let us walk boldly and cast our concerns and prayers to God. May the Holy Spirit use us as vessels for His kingdom, glorifying the life, love, death, and resurrection of Jesus, which paved the way for eternal life with Him after this life!

Prayer for the National Day of Prayer

Heavenly Father,

On this National Day of Prayer, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and wisdom. We thank You for the blessings of our nation and for the freedom to gather in prayer.

We ask for Your strength and courage to face the challenges that lie ahead. May we be united in purpose and spirit, working together for the common good. Help us to be instruments of Your peace, spreading love and compassion in our communities.

We pray for our leaders, that they may be filled with discernment and integrity as they make decisions that affect our lives. Grant them the wisdom to lead with justice and mercy.

Lord, we also lift up those who are suffering, the marginalized, and the oppressed. May we be a source of hope and support for them, reflecting Your love in all that we do.

As we pray today, may our hearts be open to Your will, and may we be inspired to act in ways that honor You and uplift our nation.

In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

When I look at this picture of my puddincake, it hits me that I was really just the host and deliverer of her as a baby! This photo clearly shows that her daddy, Stephen, is the father, and I didn’t stand a chance. During conception, my genes must have said, “Let’s go back to bed; we don’t have a shot in this!” The Porter genes definitely dominate! And just like that, my little one is starting third grade this year! I felt quite emotional this morning as I took her to the bus stop, realizing how much she's growing up. I'm incredibly grateful to God for allowing me to see her every day, and I'm excited about the wonderful person I know she will become. I'm praying for God's protection and love over her, as well as for all the teachers and students. I absolutely adore my mom! To me, she's the best mother in the world. Although I can't remember my birth, I'm sure that the moment we first made eye contact, we immediately fell in love with each other. She is beautiful, strong, hardworking, loving, dependable, and my closest friend. My life is richer because she's part of it. I would do anything for her because she has always given so much of herself to me, my children, and my brother, with selfless and unwavering love. She's the one person who will never hear no from me because she's earned that respect. Thank you, Mom, for loving me so deeply and for never giving up on me! I appreciate the late-night phone calls, the rides when I needed them, the prayers, the sacrifices, and the incredible gift of introducing me to Christ. You will forever be my favorite girl because you always made me feel like your favorite daughter. Your day is every day in my eyes! 💕 by @iamericaporter

I couldn't let this day go by without wishing my big brother and first protector a happy 50th birthday! As his little sister, I was often meddling in his affairs and tattling on him. It usually went like this: "Mom, Darryl was on the phone while he was grounded," or "Mom, Darryl hit me," to which she would respond, "Mind your business and stay out of his room, and Darryl, stop hitting her; you're too big to be doing that." Truthfully, I probably deserved it for being in his business. But no matter what, as I grew older and had my own little escapades, he never treated me that way. Whenever I need him, he's always right there for me or just a phone call away. I'm grateful to God for my brother! I love you, Darryl, and thank God for you! by @iamericaporter

I couldn't let this day pass without wishing my baby boy a happy 23rd birthday! I love you beyond words, and you have made your mother incredibly proud of the man you've become. You are loving, respectful, kind, and have never been in trouble. I thank God so much for who you are, and there will never be anything in this lifetime that could change how I feel about you. Ever since my daughter was born, I have been completely smitten with her! I adore her spirit, charisma, and personality, and she just keeps making me love her more and more! She is absolutely beautiful, just like her mama😉.
