I'm hoping to be running within a month 🙄. When will your project car be done?

I bought this car in '02 and I converted to side draft carbs in '06. Fast forward to today and we're going back to EFI but with individual throttle bodies.

I've been bench testing and modifying the VEMS ECU for over a year. A lot of the conversion parts are loosely installed as we wait for a fuel pump. The custom manifold was taken care of by @hachigopartssupply

515lbs for a ride at the old gym!

Last time I lifted 500+ it was 2013 and I was 33. This video was from March 2026 and I was 45. I turned 46 last month and the experience and new knowledge learned are keeping me healthy, strong, and eager for more!

As I move towards 50 I am focusing on staying healthy, mobile, and flexible because I still have a lot of life to live. I am motivated with a new set of goals and I'm ready to crush them! Stay healthy y'all!

For those wondering, here's how I use a 4AG 16v bluetop distributor for carburetors. The white and red wires are connected to the magnetic pickup wires of the MSD Ignition box. It's the pickup with the 4 point wheel.

Pro-tip: If you reverse the wires for the magnetic pickup you get a timing curve. I ran a basic MSD 6AL box this way for many years before upgrading to a 6AL2 Programmable.

PS. Gonna try the EFI swap again. Wish me luck.

**Long post, kinda not car related**

When all else fails, work on the self. This is what keeps me in check.

I went through some stuff with some toxic people. So I took a break for myself and set a few goals. The first was to get into the 1000lbs club in the big three lifts. The second goal was to obtain Journeyperson certification.

In the month of April I achieved both of those goals! I'm currently at 1045lbs (425 deadlift came at the end of April) and as of April 30 I am a Red Seal Parts Technician!

I'm not struggling with mental health so much since I started seeking help from a therapist. I was one of those guys thinking that I didn't need help or it wouldn't work.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. You can even reach out to me if you need. Stay strong and stay healthy. Get your mind right and the rest will follow.

PS. Added a blopper reel for your enjoyment.

First start up of 2025. The weather has been mild so I dug out the Rolla from its snowy grave and it fired right up after a few kicks of the gas pedal. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
