Apparently ChatGPT thinks we would’ve THRIVED in 1986. 😂

Big hair. Acid wash. Neon everything. A mullet I’m not entirely mad about. And somehow Brittany still looks way cooler than me.

But here’s the funny part… change the decade, change the clot
hes, change the hairstyles, and marriage is still marriage.

You’re still going to annoy each other. You’re still going to laugh at things no one else understands. You’re still going to walk through hard seasons. You’re still going to have to choose each other again and again.

Because a great marriage has never been about looking perfect together. It’s about growing together, fighting for each other, giving a whole lot of grace, and learning to enjoy the ride. That’s pretty much what Young, Dumb & in Love is all about.

Although… I do think our marriage might be stronger if I brought this jacket back.

Twenty years ago, I married my best friend.

Brittany, thank you for saying “yes” and for choosing us every single day since. We’ve walked through seasons of joy, heartbreak, victories, uncertainty, laughter, and more grace than we ever deserved. Through it all, you’ve been my greatest gift.

Thank you for believing in me, loving our girls so well, pointing our family to Jesus, and making home my favorite place to be.

Twenty years later, I love you more than I ever thought possible. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else.

As your husband seeks to honor God through his work, trust that God can use his integrity, faithfulness, kindness, and leadership to impact those around him. God desires a relationship with your husband even more than you do. His Word has the power to transform hearts, renew minds, bring healing, and provide wisdom for every season of life. As your husband seeks God, he can trust that God will meet him, guide him, and continue the good work He has begun in him.

Prayer:
God, I pray that You would ignite a desire in ___________ to pursue You with everything inside of him. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion to seek You in all that he does. Thank You that Your Word is alive and active, bringing truth, wisdom, and transformation. I pray that You would speak clearly to him through Scripture and encourage him in the areas where he needs strength, direction, and hope. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path. May it change atmospheres, break down walls, bring healing, and draw him closer to You. Help him to know Your voice and follow Your leading each day. Thank You for the work You are doing in his life. Amen.

Day 1 of 21 Days of intentionally praying for our husbands.

•Pray that your husband would experience God on a deeper level.
•Pray for his faith to increase and his awareness of God to grow.
•Pray that he would draw closer to God and that he would experience him like never before.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

Encouragement: Maybe your husband doesn’t know God yet, and you are standing in the gap believing for him to come to know the Lord. Do not grow weary in praying and believing for your husband. God sees you and hears you. Remember that God over your husband even more than you do. by @iamjuliang
