It’s my favorite day of the year because it’s the day my favorite person in the whole world was born. 🤎 Happy birthday, @joelvandruff . The best husband, the most incredible dad, my best friend, the love of my life and truly one of one. Life is better, funnier, weirder and more special because you’re in it. We are so lucky to love you and be loved by you. Those who are lucky enough to know you, know the intention and the way you pour into those you love, it’s a special kind of love.

For months, @lennoxem and I sat with our newborns on our laps, building something deeply personal to us. I was dealing with postpartum preeclampsia as well as postpartum anxiety while also navigating the complex maze of parental leave. It proved to be a true nightmare and made getting better nearly impossible.

What started as countless conversations about parental leave, hearing the dissapointing stories of too many friends navigating parental leave, our own foray into new parenthood , and wishing @lennoxem and I had clearer information became 29 Weeks. Inherently, we became each other’s leave consultants so here we are now bringing the work to other Californians.

We created @your29weeks because we believe every parent regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation and personal journey into parenting deserves clarity, confidence, and support during one of life’s biggest transitions. No guesswork. No endless searching. Just the information, tools, and guidance we wish we’d had ourselves.

At its core, 29 Weeks is about helping parents make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and spend more time focused on what matters most: themselves and their growing families.

We’re so proud to finally share it with you. Tell a friend in need, they may also not know they do until they see it. 🤍
