respectfully, your scalp needs some attention too! 😭

5 reasons you should AT LEAST be cleaning your scalp:

• removes product buildup, excess oils & dirt.
• helps minimize itching & irritation caused by buildup.
• creates a healthier environment for your hair to grow.
• helps eliminate unwanted odors.
• removes dead skin cells & helps maintain overall scalp health.

one thing i need y’all to understand is that OIL IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER! 😭 constantly adding products to a scalp that’s already experiencing buildup isn’t helping the situation.

and being loc’d does NOT mean you get to skip shampooing your hair!

your scalp is SKIN. treat it accordingly. 🫧

to my zhuri lanae,

i hope you never let this crazy world change how you see yourself or make you feel like you have to be anything other than exactly who you are. you are truly my little butterfly, just learning how to spread your wings, figure yourself out and become your own little person. & i’m so grateful i get a front row seat to it all. 🥹🦋

i hope as you grow, you learn to love allllll of zhuri. the silly zhuri, the loud zhuri, the shy zhuri, the sassy zhuri, the creative zhuri… every single version. i hope you always feel comfortable expressing yourself and never shrink who you are to make anybody else comfortable.

& most importantly, i hope i can continue teaching you to love the little girl you see when you look in the mirror. especially that beautiful hair growing out of your head. 😂💕 because God knows godmommy gone keep you in a cute hairstyle, but i never want you to think the braids, beads, bows or protective styles are what make your hair beautiful. i want you to love your hair when it’s freshly done AND when it’s just you, your curls, your texture and your little fro doing whatever it wanna do. 😂 that’s your crown too.

i’ll always encourage you to explore, be creative, try new things and figure out what you like…not what the world tells you you’re supposed to like.
