the color is cute, but the upkeep is a commitment 🤌🏽🎨

part of maintaining my colored locs is knowing what needs some love & what needs to go. trimming weak, damaged areas where needed & adding moisture back into my hair ✨

i love my length, but i’m not holding on to damage just to say my locs are long. healthy hair will always be the goal 🔑

colored locs + versatility??? yeahhhh, we love to see itttt 😮‍💨🎨✨

styles featured:
✨ petal bun mohawk
✨ two fishtails into two ponytails
✨ fishtail w/ petals
✨ pipe cleaners
✨ two loc knot ponytails
✨ loc bob x flat twists
✨ petal bun pony w/ a bang
✨ two strand pineapple pony w/ half down & a bang

buttttt let’s talk about the COLOR for a second 👀

colored locs are beautifullll, but getting the color is only half the job. maintaining the integrity of your locs after color is just as important. moisture, proper cleansing + conditioning, keeping up with your maintenance and knowing when to leave your locs ALONE all play a part in keeping them healthy.

because we don’t just want pretty color — we want healthy locs WITH pretty color. 🤌🏽✨

color doesn’t automatically ruin locs, but neglecting them after color definitely can.

quality is always keyyyy 🔑

thinking about adding color to your locs? book a consultation & let’s talk about what’ll work for YOUR hair. 💕

my lil 10% be hittinnnn fasho, thanks to my @bre.shaneke 😂🤌🏽✨

but learning to live in my 90% has made choosing this lifestyle sooo much easier.

locs are definitely a commitment, but they’re only dreadful if you make them be. learn your hair, find what works for you, switch it up when you need to & enjoy the journey for what it is.

we’re officially 4 months shy of 6 YEARS loc’d 🥹✨ and choosing to embrace my locs instead of feeling limited by them has probably been one of my favorite parts of the entire journey.

the 10% gone always have her lil moment though 😂

I appreciate @iamkey.co so much because if you know Kyrie you know it’s not easy doing much with him! She whipped up my boy some nice stitch braids which are perfect right now because I still am not sure if I wanna cut it.
