So this is 40.

Old enough to remember life before Wi-Fi. Young enough to remember the excitement of logging on for the first time.

Dial-up sounds. MSN names. Tamagotchis that never survived. Notes passed in class. Nokia 3310 and texts you thought twice about sending.

Somewhere between then and now, a few countries became home. A few friends became family. And a small dog became my boss.

20 years in design. Still getting excited about an idea. Still turning it into something you can touch. Still explaining what I actually do.

Thought I’d have more answers by now. I do have better questions.

There’s plenty I haven’t figured out. But I like the people I’m figuring it out with.

I love how a simple object can calm a space, yet still add character.

That was the idea behind Makoto, a table lamp I designed for @dftpglobal . Something understated that feels at home in almost any interior.

I could call it timeless, but I’ve never really liked that word. Everything belongs to a time, and that’s part of what makes design interesting.

For me, good design isn’t about being timeless. It’s about creating something you’ll want to live with for a long time.

A little more colour, a little more texture, and a lot of playing around with shapes.

I’ve always loved the idea that a rug can be so much more than something you put on the floor. It can bring a bit of character, warmth and even a little unexpected joy to a space.

Really lovely seeing these designs finally come to life as part of our new Arturel rug collection.

We talk a lot about air pollution. Not enough about noise pollution.

Noise doesn’t have to be loud to affect us.
Conversations. Traffic. Machines. Music. Spaces where sound just keeps bouncing around. It all adds up.

Mental fatigue. Less focus. More stress. That feeling of being tired without really knowing why.

Sometimes we don’t need more stimulation.
We just need a little less noise.

The idea was simple: make it fun and expressive. Then change it depending on your mood.
