The journey so far 🥊❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who has been a part of my boxing and life journey so far (friends, family, coaches, training partners) and a huge shout out to @channel4 @voltarolgb
@gaytimes for giving me the opportunity to share my story ❤️
- Women's boxing is most definitely on the rise and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds

🥊 As @iamoriance says, it has only been 10 years since women in England have been allowed to compete in the Olympics. Whilst we’ve got a long way to go, I’m super excited for the future of women and other voices who’ve been left out of combat sports.

As always, thank you to phenomenally talented crew and @iamoriance & @le_flour for sharing your insights so generously as well as brilliant producer Sophie - we’d started this storytelling process together in December and wanted to get it right 🤝

It's not often that we do longer padwork combinations but when we do, it usually goes a little something like this 🙃

Always fun with the team 🧡

I didn’t become a professional boxer overnight.

It started when I was 19 and looking for something to make me stand out as a PhD candidate.

So I started kickboxing.

Then during my Master's year, I found boxing.

12 years later, I went pro.

At 19, I had no idea that kickboxing class would become the beginning of everything.

A National Champion and England representative as an amateur. A first professional title within five months of my debut.

When I look back, there were so many moments where nothing seemed to be happening.

But something was always happening.

I was becoming.

The work was happening before the results.

The roots were growing before anyone could see the tree.

And there’s still a lot more fruit to come.

Younger Ori would never believe how far she could take this ‘hobby’ of hers into a full blown career ✨

With the focus being hitting and moving using mostly the feet, shoulder is one of my favourite footwork drills for sure! 👊🏾🧡
