NateWantsToBattle @ The O2 Institute, Birmingham || 02/10/2026

It might have been Nate's first ever UK show but it most certainly wont be his last. With incredible live vocals, expertly handled technical difficulties, and life-long memories made, this show was well worth the over-a-decade wait!

Thanks, Mr WantsToBattle. Come back soon, yeah?

Berlin, 2026 || Day 3

There's nothing more serene than spending a gorgeous summer's day getting lost in a city you don't know. No itinerary, no drama; just the sun, the trees, and my own two feet carrying me as far as they can - and towards the nearest currywurst vendor!

I've been told there are far more beautiful places than Berlin, which I don't doubt, but coming from a city where its all grey and the trees are far from thriving, I fell in love with the place. ✨️

I also completely accidentally stumbled across a TANZNEID poster when trying to find my way back home and got far too excited over it. Typical Sam behaviour.

Berlin, 2026 || Day 2

Inflatable ducks, metal dinosaurs, and incredible, unforgettable acts; Escalation Fest 2026 had it all.

I found some awesome new bands to listen to, almost had my eye taken out by a duck's bill, and watched one of my favourite bands' hard work pay off in their last album going gold. I am so lucky to have been able to attend this year and I really hope I get to go again in the future. It's such a wild lineup that leads to an insane day out and memories that will last forever! ✨️

Berlin, 2026 || Day One

I've always been a sucker for a good building - a marble arch here and there - but my god the architecture around Berlin is stunning. The museums, the Berliner Dom, the Konzerthaus; I could have spent all day staring at them. Walking over 20k steps in a city this pretty was so worth it. And, as a side note, the university buildings look exactly how I expected university to look, when I was a kid. Just grand, gothic academia.

I spent my first day just wandering around, taking it all in. I had breakfast at ACID Mitte, picked up a drink at Dunkin', and went into one too many book stores 😅

It was also TANZNEID release day so I, of course, had to go on the hunt for the album 🤘🏻

It was such a beautiful start to the holiday and I miss it already!

Electric Callboy @ Escalation Fest, Berlin, Germany || 08/08/2026

It's been three days since @escalationfest and I can't stop thinking about how much fun I had. The guys from @electriccallboy really know how to party!

Congratulations on the new album release, congratulations for hosting one hell of a festival and, of course, congratulations on Tekkno going GOLD in Germany - it is incredibly well deserved! ✨️

So... @its_ameliabrown ... You know how you always do these grand gestures, make heartwarming posts and even edit together beautiful time capsule-like videos for everyone's birthdays?

It's your turn, bitch.

Our first recorded message to each other was the 6th of May, 2020. Which means we have known each other for over six years - can you believe it? I can't. Where did it all go wrong?

Through Uncharted territory (learning to survive a pandemic during our most formative years), to letting the Good Times Roll (going to concerts and conventions together), we've really seen anything and everything life can throw at us. And I know I say this a lot, and you're probably tired of hearing it, but I am incredibly proud of you.

London with Cass, the Coal Mines of South Wales, Bristol and Cardiff James Marriott gigs; if there's an adventure to be had, we're having it.

To have met online and be able to have this many photos of us, all of these memories, and inside jokes - we are so very lucky.

If we can double or even tripple the amount of peace signs thrown in selfies or giggles had both off and on camera, in the next six years, then we know we're doing it right. Distance can't and wont stop us.

I truly cherish every moment we get together and can't wait until the next time we get to wreck havoc on the world - bring on January!

And let's not forget our countless 'in every universe' OCs; Pyra and Maryssa, Val'Halla and Nori, Connie and Roselyn, and - of course - Sammy Ray and Amelia Jane.

If we don't know each other in every universe then what is the point?

One of my favourite things about you is your endless creativity and the way that you push me to be a better creative, in every field. And nobody will ever be able to take away from you the creativity and the hard work you've put in that's led to all you've accomplished. I reallt mean it when I say that proud doesn't even cover it.

You're just an incredible, supportive, talented force of joy that will always encourage those around you to be better. I am lucky to know you and have known you for as long as I have. And I can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Sorry to get soppy on you but you deserve to by @iamsamdrake

⚡️Sammy D takes Slammy D 2: Electric Boogaloo⚡️

Happy 20th Birthday, Slam Dunk! It was only my second time around but, man, you've got me for life.

Once I've sifted through my photos, I'll be able to share more about the FOURTEEN (!?) different bands that I managed to catch throughout the day. But for now, I leave you with snapshots of my POV from Slam Dunk North 2026.
