A little peek into Friday night.

What a beautiful evening it was as we celebrated the 5th PR Power List Soirée & Awards in commemoration of World PR Day 2026.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate excellence in public relations and strategic communications. And above all, I’m thankful to God. After days of heavy rain and a 95% rain forecast, not a single drop fell. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

Congratulations to every member of the PR Power List Class of 2026. Your work continues to elevate our profession and inspire what’s possible.

My sincere appreciation also goes to our exceptional jury for their integrity, professionalism and commitment to preserving the credibility of the PR Power List, and to every partner, speaker, volunteer and guest who made the evening so memorable.

This is just a glimpse. More moments to come.

FINALLY stepping out from behind the scenes…. And IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

My entire adult journey from being a community organizer to doing PR, production, etc etc has been behind the scenes. In a world where we have all the tools and platforms to tell our own stories, where we can take control of our narratives, where we are our brands, and most importantly a world where as the Malcolm X quote behind me says, “Media is the most important entity in the world.”, we almost have a duty to tell our stories, to add nuance and perspective, and to share (responsibly).

It has been a journey to get here, but here I am and IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY.

Thank you to everyone who has pushed me, encouraged me, sand supported me.

I AM DOING JUST FINE IN 🇷🇼!!! People always ask me how I am doing in Rwanda and the answer is just fine!

Being a founder and CEO running an agency is never easy and doing it in a foreign country is just you asking for resilience and fortitude like you have never known it.

BUT THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE ON EARTH I WOULD RATHER DO IT THAN RWANDA!!!

And I likely would not have been pushed or inspired to do it to this capacity if it were not for #LivingInRwanda!!!

I got to talk to @essence about it for their article on Black American Women Building Business in Africa (Link in Bio).

Thank you @halonablack and Essence Magazine for allowing me to share my story and for continuing to be a platform for Black women!!!
