Never thought stepping onto the mats would become one of the best decisions I’ve made this year.A few months ago I knew absolutely nothing. Now I’m learning wrestling, BJJ, MMA and getting stronger every week… even with a fractured wrist.This sport has humbled me, challenged me and reminded me how good it feels to be a beginner again.Big love to every coach and training partner who’s helped me along the way. I have lived sooo many lives already and was blessed to have grown up being encouraged to explore whatever sparked my curiosity, and looking back, that’s one of the greatest gifts I was given. There was never pressure to squeeze myself into one box or build my whole identity around a single thing. So now I collect hobbies, skills, experiences, and probably too much equipment.DJing. Gardening. Martial arts. Running. Music production. Travelling. Learning. Starting over. Repeating. People love to quote, “A jack of all trades is a master of none,” but they usually leave off the rest, “but oftentimes better than a master of one.”I’m not chasing the finish line of becoming “the best” at one thing. I’m chasing a life where I’m always curious, always learning and always evolving. Sunny winter days, muddy boots, horses’ breath in the cold air, and a heart fuller than I ever expected 🤍Moving to North Norfolk reminded me how to slow down, find the smallest joys, and somehow led me to the most beautiful friendships in the tiniest village.
