Putting up the shade netting today in Glasshouse 4 (Southern Hemisphere) at CPG as we prepare for the temporary move of the tropical corridor’s plants while it’s glasshouse begins its restoration.
So exciting getting to be a part of this project and going through the stages of this transformation each day. Feels great to be back! 😍

The soil has its own timing and somehow, it’s always right.
So much has shifted since I last shared a piece of my World here. I’ve never been one for posting in real time, as I’d much rather be lost in the rhythm of each day, soaking in the fleeting beauty of moments as they come & go.

These past months, my days have been woven with the scent of fresh blooms and the gentle hum of the bees. I’ve been learning the art of cut flowers, and witnessing the devotion it takes to nurture an organic flower farm-(a true labour of love) alongside the inspiring @forevergreenflowerco .

My horticultural journey has been anything but straightforward. It’s been a winding path of joy, pain, pauses & restarts, of patience & perseverance. Yet, somehow, this very slow return has carried me to the most wholesome place here in North Norfolk, at the most perfect time. A timing that feels written in the soil.

I hold such gratitude for women like Cel, who have poured over a decade of graft into transforming this land. Not only into a thriving flower farm, but also a place of giving. Her workshops open eyes to the lesser known truths of the cut flower industry (so much I was unaware of & wish everyone knew about), reminding us why it matters to support British flower farms, local growers, and sustainable blooms.

My season here will be short, but it is so full. Every morning spent tending to the beds, every stem I cut, feels like another thread in the tapestry of this land’s story. Here are some glimpses of the moments that have made my heart bloom over the past few months 💕🌸💐🌞🌾🌼🌻🌺✨ by @limeandpints

Yesterday I had the pleasure of learning how to make crepe paper poppies with family, in the memory of a late family member who loved poppies.

This wonderful workshop was led by the very talented @floragami.paperflower and her workshop is filled with all sorts of gorgeous paper made flowers.

Her kits are available for sale to make at home as well, so you can create your perfect bouquet!

This was so therapeutic and fun to do 🥰🌸 #papermache #origami #crepepaperflowers #florigami #floralarrangement by @limeandpints

Ok so I‘ve never vibed with celery for most of my life, but now it’s become my morning ritual. I know that sounds crazy, but hear me out. The health benefits are REAL !

From crushing my acid reflux to supercharging my immunity and at this point, I swear it’s had something to do with reducing my hay fever as well 😂.

Celery juice offers a range of health benefits that can make a real difference in your well-being.

It’s known for supporting liver health, controlling harmful bacteria, and enhancing your digestive system too. I mean listen to how good it sounds.

If you’re looking to improve your overall health, consider incorporating organic celery juice into your life. Once you get over the taste, you’ll be all over it. 💁🏽‍♀️

October’s mystical allure beckons! Amidst the fallen leaves, ethically foraging for mushrooms can be a treasure hunt for the soul. 🍂🍁 But remember, sometimes it’s enough to pause, admire nature’s intricate designs, and let the fungi weave their enchanting stories from a distance. 🌿💫 #mushroommagic by @limeandpints

Four powerful books, four different journeys.
They've been my guiding light through the turbulent journey of migrating from my home in Trinidad to the UK during the pandemic and stepping into the World of Horticulture.
They've helped me navigate the complexities of identity, belonging, and the land. Reminding me that in the soil, we find not just roots but resilience.
Marchelle's quest for home, 'Unearthed' redefining belonging, Alice Vincent's celebration of Women gardeners, and Tessa McWatt's introspective memoir on identity and belonging. Highly recommend giving them a read!

Our bodies are like water balloons!💧Two-thirds of you is water, and it’s crucial for many things:
Nutrient Delivery: It carries the good stuff.
Toxin Flush: Cleanses your insides.
Circulation & Pressure: Keeps blood flowing.
Organ Function: Makes organs happy.
Energy Booster: Gives you a boost.

But here’s the twist. Not enough water = trouble. Dehydration means headaches, fatigue, stiffness, and even brain fog. It messes with digestion and weight loss.

Want one of my solutions? Diatomaceous Earth (DE)!

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is mainly silicon dioxide, a natural substance from old lake beds. It’s fossilised diatoms microscopic water plants that feed marine life. DE is 89-95% silica and packs 15 essential minerals like calcium and zinc, helping you stay truly hydrated.

DE helps with:
Regular Digestion
Weight Management
Joint Health
Healthy Cholesterol

Drink up and consider DE for a happier, hydrated you!

Pro Tip: Take DE on an empty stomach. Start small with a teaspoon in 12 oz of liquid. Mix well and gulp it down. If you don’t like the chalky texture, try it with tastier drinks like milk, OJ, tea, or smoothies. by @limeandpints
