ART SHOW at FLIGHT GALLERY!!!

I just wanted to start off by thanking Justin Parr for inviting me to be a part of this group show at his fantastic gallery. I’ve attended plenty of shows at Flight over the years, and I have admired and been inspired by his gallery’s offerings. I am super honored to show my work with such a fine group of artists, and I hope you can attend! There will be a preview this Thursday, and the show opening will be on Friday, 6-9 pm. I look forward to seeing you there!

Also: Thanks to @cobbsix for inviting me to my first gallery show, and helping me get this ball rolling. Thanks to my amazing sister, @ani.eskander for inspiring to me start making art again, and last but certainly not least, my amazing wife @specialk889 without her, and her ride-or-die level of support none of this would be happening. Love you, darling! by @ianthomeskander

Hey friends! 🎨 I’m excited to finally launch my art website today! You can now grab prints of my work and even some original pieces. Head over to ianeskander.com and check it out! The link is in my bio. Thanks so much for all your support—it means the world to me. 🖼️ ✨

I’ll be adding more prints in the coming days, so stay tuned! If there’s a piece you see here but don’t see on the site and you’d love to have it, just reach out—I’d be happy to do a special order for you.

BONE HEAD on the 13th of the Bad Guys Club. I tried a few different versions of this prompt today. I can be very indecisive. 🤷🏻‍♂️ #bonehead #sotbgc11 #badguysclub #lowbrowpopsurrealists by @ianthomeskander

YOKAI on the 12th day of the Bad Guys Club. Inspired by the wonderfully strange world of Japanese folklore, where even the monsters have personality disorders. This guy is based on a 19th century version of Kappa I found online. #kappa #yokai #sotbgc11 #badguysclub by @ianthomeskander

S.O.B: (day 10) of the Bad Guys Club. Also, homage to Philip Guston — one of my all time favorite artists. I took a more abstract approach and enjoyed the process. I tend to skew cartoony with these Bad Guy drawings, but I like veering away from that when I can. The Guston image of the hand coming out of the Cloud comes from a piece called, “the Line,” (1978). #sob #philipguston #sotbgc11 #abstractsurrealism #badguysclub by @ianthomeskander

THE GHOUL!!! (Day 9) of the Bad Guy’s Club. The Ghoul has finally been banished to the Phantom Zone and hurled into the darkest reaches of deep space! He now drifts through eternity, trapped between dimensions with no hope of escape! #theghoul #phantomzone #superman2 #sotbgc11 by @ianthomeskander
