Guests will also hear from Dr. Afsoon Ghazvinian on nutrition and Dr. Shadi Kranitz on hormone therapy, with practical insights to support their overall health and well-being.

Seven Realms of Attar is a landmark theatrical spectacle by NIYAZ, the pioneering electro-acoustic music collective founded by Azam Ali and Loga Ramin Torkian, redefining tradition through innovation.

Inspired by the sublime poetry of Attar’s 12th-century masterpiece Conference of the Birds, the work brings together live music, poetry, dance, visual art, animation, and 3D projection mapping to transform the stage into a living, evolving cosmos. Each realm embodies a stage of the soul’s passage through longing, loss, surrender, awakening, and ultimately, transcendence. Rooted in Iranian cultural heritage yet strikingly contemporary in its vision, the production transforms technology into a poetic medium, carrying audiences through seven realms of spiritual discovery.

Created in response to a world increasingly shaped by conflict, displacement, and division, Seven Realms of Attar is an invitation into a shared space of reflection and wonder, a poetic affirmation of our common humanity and our enduring longing for unity, freedom, and spiritual awakening.

On August 15, surrounded by the beauty of Napa, California, our trustees and members came together for IAWF’s Annual Retreat. Together, we reflected on the Foundation’s recent progress, shared our vision and priorities for the years ahead, and engaged in meaningful conversations about the opportunities before us.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shahpar and Darioush Khaledi for graciously hosting our meeting and dinner at the breathtaking Darioush Winery. Their warmth and hospitality made an already meaningful weekend truly unforgettable.

IAW Foundation is proud to congratulate our London Chapter member, Dr. Nazee Akbari, on being awarded an MBE, Member of the Order of the British Empire, for her service to refugees and asylum seekers.

Dr. Akbari is a visionary leader in the migrant and mental health sectors, a psychotherapist, and the CEO of New Citizens’ Gateway (NCG), formerly known as Barnet Refugee Service. She has run her private practice for the past 26 years and brings a deep passion for human rights to her work. Under her leadership, NCG has become a pioneering organization providing holistic support to refugees and asylum seekers, particularly those facing mental and physical health challenges, including survivors of torture.

This well-deserved recognition reflects her years of meaningful work, advocacy, and commitment to supporting individuals and families as they build new lives with dignity, safety, and hope. by @iawfoundation
