Most of the mums you see in this video were nervous to come 🤍
They were all in different stages of their postpartum journeys, navigating versions of themselves that still felt unfamiliar and new.
And honestly, this shoot wasn’t just out of their comfort zone, it was out of mine too 🥹

As a proud Pacific Island family, stepping into spaces like this can feel unfamiliar sometimes. Putting ourselves out there, building something from the ground up, being the face of it, taking the risk, believing we belong in rooms we’ve never stepped into before but I tell you now, we all have what it takes.

I know social media can sometimes make confidence look natural, but the truth is a lot of these women walked in nervous, overthinking, and questioning themselves. Yet the second they started encouraging one another, something shifted 🙏

And that’s why ZAVAYA is so special to me.
It’s so much more than activewear. It’s a space for mums to feel seen, supported, confident, and understood in every stage of motherhood. A community where mums can show up exactly as they are.

So I hope this reminds you that you deserve to take up space too.
To do something for yourself again.
To remember there’s still a woman inside of you outside of just being “mum” 💝.

It’s times like this when she’s away that I really get it.

Yeah, it can be hard… but we’re big on having our own time to reset and recharge. For her, it’s being out there playing sport. For me, it’s stepping away from work and being home with my kids.

All jokes aside, take this as your sign to figure out what your reset button is and actually use it.

Everything just feels better when everyone’s in a good space… even if you’re standing there wondering whether the house is clean or not 😂
