Dropped my 2nd off at uni

And just like that , it’s a new day .

I was telling a friend that this feels like such a growing up year for me .

Not the usual seminars, programmes and retreats I’m used to hosting

I find myself in the quieter things these days.
Yet they feel way more intense .

Mentoring. Teaching. Learning. Stanford Seed. Generally being present in my relationships.

My last baby went off to boarding school.

We still talk everyday and I’m wondering when he’ll finally realise he’s out of home 😂

Slide4 is my post birthday dinner when he came home just because he’s still the boss.

My best girl is in final year .
President of Fashion Society at KCL, attending London fashion week shows and talking about concepts so ambitious I find myself lighting up in ways I’m yet to articulate

Sometimes , you’re the star of the show, and other times you’re simply in the front row as the audience, watching the things and people you love blossom .

Both are beautiful places to be.

I’m grateful to be experiencing all these shades of transition and humbled by how much they’re teaching me.

So, if you’ve wondered where I’ve been, perhaps this is part of the answer. ☺️

I’m learning that we can’t always be doing more .
Sometimes, we just need to be more present in what is already happening.

And I really want to remind you that your journey is yours.

Every single moment is just as important as the other

You are right where you are supposed to be.

So, live in it.
Grow with it.
Shine through it.

And when the season changes as it will, move with it.

Today is the best day ever. 💖

My mum turned 90 over the weekend .

All roads led to Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state my hometown

There’s just something about Ijebu people .
We’re very simple , no drama . 😃☺️

MY MOTHER.
Olufunmilola Olabisi Osunneye at 90.

Omo Epoyun.
Omo Isamuro Eriwo.
Omo Odo of Ago-Iwoye Kingdom.

The true definition of a matriarch.
A woman who has raised generations.

A homemaker extraordinaire. In her early years of marriage, she opened her home to over 15 children at a time, while holding firmly to her values.

An educationist. A disciplinarian.
A Knight of John Wesley.
Iya Ijo, Methodist Cathedral, Ago-Iwoye.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith.

She has had her fair share of loss and pain.
Yet, through it all, she has stood tall with grace.

A custodian of history, heritage, values and legacy.

I mean… what 90-year-old still has her baby pictures AND clothes belonging to her grandfather?!
Yup. My mother does.

She remembers birthdays, lineage, family trees and origins.
Still reads without glasses too. 😅
Still feisty.
Still wonderfully cantankerous. 😂

What a privilege it is to have been born of such a powerhouse.

What an even greater blessing to witness 90 years of grace.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!” — Psalm 126:3

Happy 90th Birthday, Mummy. ❤️

20 today.

What a joy. What a blessing.

I’m in awe of the amazing young woman you’re becoming, Fiyi.

I think it’s in how you know something about everything.

How you think. How you write. How you still seek to understand even when it doesn’t seem to make sense to you.

I like how you’re actually the queen of the softest life (well, princess because we know who’s queen ☺️), and how you find the coolest places to eat.

How you choose friends. Shout out to the 4 in your 5.

How about your taste in music?
From jazz to pop, R&B to Fuji. Only you. 😂

I pray for you, my child.

Ascend into depths of grace, heights of glory that only God can give.

Be at peace knowing you’re never alone.
The Spirit guides you, leads you, keeps you.

I’ve been quieter.

Because there’s a kind of growth that doesn’t share updates. It just works on you.

That’s where I’ve been.

There’s a difference between disappearing and going inward.

I’ve been learning myself again.

How to trust a season even when it doesn’t explain itself to you.

How to close doors, and keep them closed.

How to listen to what’s not being said.

Some things break us open before they build us up.

And I can boldly say I know what it means to show up as yourself even when that self is tired, stretched, healing, still learning.

Show up still.

That’s the place I’m bringing BrandME from.

I call it the art of self-positioning, the science of being unforgettable.

The deep dive you need to learn yourself, know yourself, and BE yourself.

Because what makes you different was never the problem.

It was always the point. 💖
