7 days out from my first HYROX. 🏁

Wall balls. Ski erg. Sled pulls. Repeat until the legs stop asking questions.

I’ve run in plenty of time zones, but never against a clock like this one. Hyrox Abu Dhabi, see you next week.

Anyone else racing? Drop your division below and let’s find each other on the floor 👇

Pause. I can explain. 😅

Nobody warned me that getting into longevity in your 40s means paying someone to hang you from the ceiling like a rotisserie chicken.

This is pravilo. Old Slavic practice, zero chill. They strap you in, lift you up, and let gravity negotiate with your spine. The first thirty seconds I saw my ancestors. Then everything let go and I’ve never been so relaxed while looking so ridiculous.

Turns out taking care of your body is more than bench press and protein shakes. Sometimes it’s this.

The goal isn’t to look good at 42. It’s to still be able to tie my own shoes at 80.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done in the name of wellness? 👇#pravilo #dubai #longevity #fitness #mobility taken in Pravilo Dubai by @ifmikewashere

27 days out. This is the unglamorous part. No crowd, no music, no medal. Just me, a treadmill, and the voice saying “that’s enough for today.”

I’m documenting every step until race day so you can watch me either crush it or humble myself in public. Either way, it’s going to be honest.

Anyone else racing Abu Dhabi on Oct 25? Tell me your division below 👇

He didn’t land in Dubai with money, connections or a perfect plan.
He landed with debt.
Before that came one of the lowest periods of his life: drinking, gambling and an accident that nearly changed everything.

His brother offered him a way out: come to Dubai and start again.

But moving countries wasn’t the thing that changed his life. What mattered was what he decided to do once he got here.

“Giving up is not in my identity.”

Sat in a @spotifyuae x @poddster masterclass here in Dubai and filled half a notebook. The biggest takeaway: purpose first, then format, then packaging. Everything else is iteration. 30 days out. HYROX Abu Dhabi, October 25.
Sled pull and farmers carry are mine. The rest of the team handles theirs. That’s the deal.
Between now and then: 400s until my legs quit arguing, 800s at race pace, and enough compromised-leg work that the real thing feels familiar. No secret. Just showing up on the days I don’t want to.
See you on the floor. 🇦🇪
