The Information & eGovernment Authority continues to conduct the Labour Force Survey 2026 from October until December 2026, targeting a random sample of more than 4,000 households across all the governorates in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The survey aims to provide precise statistical data on the labour force characteristics, economic activity & labour market changes.

‎شاركت السيدة دعاء سلطان، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي للإحصاء والسجل السكاني بهيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية في الاجتماع (51) لمجلس أمناء المعهد العربي للتدريب والبحوث الإحصائية، الذي عُقد بتنظيم من الهيئة العامة للإحصاء في المملكة العربية السعودية. وشهد الاجتماع استعراض نتائج الأنشطة التدريبية الإحصائية التي يقدمها المعهد، والاطلاع على التجارب الناجحة، وبحث سبل تعزيز الابتكار والتحول الرقمي في المؤسسات الإحصائية العربية.

كما شاركت سعادتها في الاجتماع (44) للجنة الفنية الدائمة للإحصاء التابعة للأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية، حيث جرى استعراض نظام إحصاءات الاستثمارات الأجنبية باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي الذي طورته هيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية.

Ms. Duaa Sultan, the Deputy Chief Executive for Statistics & Population Registry at the Information & eGovernment Authority participated in the 51st meeting of the Institute’s Board of Trustees, organized by the General Authority for Statistics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the Institute’s statistical training activities, highlighted successful experiences, and discussed ways to enhance innovation and digital transformation across Arab statistical institutions.

She also participated in the 44th meeting of the Technical Committee of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, where the AI-powered Foreign Investment Statistics System developed by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) was showcased.

شاركت السيدة دعاء سلطان ، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي للإحصاء والسجل السكاني بهيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية، في أعمال الدورة 15 للجنة الإحصائية لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي (OIC-StatCom)، التي عُقدت في مدينة جدة بتنظيم الهيئة العامة للإحصاء بالمملكة العربية السعودية.

وخلال الدورة، ألقت السيدة دعاء سلطان بيانًا نيابةً عن رئيسات الأجهزة الإحصائية في الدول الأعضاء، أكدت فيه أهمية تعزيز مشاركة المرأة في المجال الإحصائي وتمكينها من صنع القرار، ودعم الكفاءات النسائية وتبادل المعرفة والخبرات. كما استعرضت جهود مملكة البحرين في تطوير العمل الإحصائي وتوظيف التحول الرقمي والتقنيات الحديثة والذكاء الاصطناعي والبيانات الإدارية في إنتاج الإحصاءات والمؤشرات.

Ms. Duaa Sultan , Deputy Chief Executive of Statistics and Population Registry at the Information & eGovernment Authority, participated in the 15th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom), held in Jeddah, organized by the General Authority for Statistics - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the session, Ms. Duaa delivered a statement on behalf of the female heads of statistical offices in OIC Member States, highlighting the importance of enhancing women’s participation in the statistical field, empowering them in decision-making, supporting female talent, and promoting knowledge and expertise exchange.

She also highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts in advancing statistical work and utilizing digital transformation, modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and administrative data in producing statistics and indicators.

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has released its August 2026 Foreign Trade report, which encompasses data on Trade Balance, Imports, national origin Exports and Re-exports.

As per the report, the value of non-oil imports has decreased by 16%, reaching to BD409 million in August 2026 in comparison with BD489 million for the same month in 2025. The top 10 countries for imports recorded 68% of the total value of imports.

أصدرت هيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية تقريرها الأولي لإحصاءات التجارة الخارجية عن شهر أغسطس من عام 2026، حيث يشتمل التقرير على بيانات الواردات والصادرات وطنية المنشأ وإعادة التصدير، بالإضافة إلى الميزان التجاري.

وذكر التقرير أنه خلال شهر أغسطس من عام 2026، بلغت قيمة الواردات السلعية غير النفطية نحو 409 مليون دينار مقابل 489 مليون دينار لنفس الشهر من عام 2025 بانخفاض نسبته 16%. ومثّلت مجموع واردات أهم عشر دول حوالي 68% من إجمالي قيمة الواردات.

عقدت لجنة حوكمة تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات اجتماعها العاشر للدورة الثالثة برئاسة السيد محمد علي القائد الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية، وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.

وخلال الاجتماع، ناقشت اللجنة عددًا من المشاريع الاستراتيجية المتعلقة بتطوير الأنظمة الحكومية في عدد من الجهات الحكومية. كما استعرضت اللجنة النسخة النهائية من الدليل الوطني لتبني واستخدام تقنية سلسلة الكتل (Blockchain)، ووجهت بتعميمه على الجهات الحكومية.
The Information and Communication Technology Governance Committee (ICTGC) held its 10th meeting of the third term online, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA)

During the meeting, the Committee discussed a number of strategic projects related to the enhancement of government systems across several entities. The Committee also reviewed the final version of the National Blockchain Guidelines and directed that it be circulated to government entities.

⁨ ⁨ ⁨ عقدت هيئة المعلومات والحكومة الإلكترونية أولى جلسات تبادل الخبرات والمعرفة مع الوكالة الوطنية للتنمية الرقمية باتحاد جزر القمر (ANADEN)، ضمن مبادرة "التوأمة العالمية للتميز في الحكومة الرقمية"، وتفعيلًا لمذكرة التفاهم الموقعة بين الجانبين.

واستعرضت الهيئة تجربة مملكة البحرين في حوكمة تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات وإدارة ومراجعة المشاريع والمشتريات التقنية الحكومية، بما يسهم في تبادل الخبرات وبناء القدرات في مجالات الحكومة الإلكترونية والتحول الرقمي ويدعم جهود اتحاد جزر القمر في تطوير منظومة الحكومة الرقمية وتحسين أدائها ضمن مؤشر الأمم المتحدة لتنمية الحكومة الإلكترونية (EGDI) .

The Information & eGovernment Authority held its first knowledge exchange session with the National Digital Development Agency (ANADEN) of the Union of the Comoros, as part of the Global Digital Twinning Initiative for eGovernment Excellence and in activation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two parties.

iGA shared the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in ICT governance and the management and review of government IT projects and procurements, supporting the exchange of expertise and capacity building in eGovernment and digital transformation, while supporting the Union of the Comoros in advancing its digital government ecosystem and improving its performance in the United Nations eGovernment Development Index (EGDI).
