“Saikou! Saikou! Saikou!”

That’s what the Japanese kept screaming after my set in Japan. At first i assume psycho.. hahaha 🤣 then i googled the meaning.

I was the Indian guest DJ at Bonnapot Festival, and what unfolded on that dance floor felt less like a party and more like a shared hallucination built from sound.

From 3:30 AM till 6:30 AM, I disappeared into Japan’s sonic vortex. The crowd surrounded the booth with glowing eyes, huge smiles, and pure surrender to the groove. “Saikou!” — the Japanese word for “the highest,” “the best,” “maximum.”

And they meant it.

After the set came the hugs. Long, genuine, beautiful hugs. DJs, dancers, strangers… all melting into one exhausted, euphoric tribe. It felt like we had survived something together.

DJ Calpiss told me he was nervous playing after my set because it was “a hard act to follow.” Cute, right? That humility, that innocence… Japanese dance floors still carry that childlike wonder for music.

Honestly, it felt like I had found my long-lost school friends through sound.

Bonnapot Japan takes joy, professionalism, and sound quality to another dimension. Two nights. Zero sleep. Running purely on music, spring water, and vibration.

Nodoka, the curator, said I rest before my set after watching me dance nonstop on day one. But I wasn’t on anything. No substances. Just energy. One meal. Japanese spring water. And music feeding my nervous system like medicine.

After my set, two more DJs played… and I kept dancing till 1 PM.

Then I collapsed into an 18-hour coma of bliss.

When I woke up, I felt completely reborn.

And honestly… my heart, body, and mind didn't want to leave Japan yet. I’ve never danced this freely before... the kind where your soul spills onto the dance floor without even a trace of self-consciousness.

And to my Indian party people…

When will we finally understand the gospel of good sound?

Absolute delight to play @bonnapot_nusic Japan's No1 party... Perfect sound system by @taguchispeaker_official perfect organisation and vibe...!

In the heart of Japan's sonic realm, I plunged into a vortex of music. My set from 3:30 am to 6:30 am, the crowd engulfing me, with smiles and love in their eyes, shouting Saikou Saikou More Saikou —a Japanese exclamation meaning "the highest" "the best" or "maximum." Saikou!

Crew members wrapped me in warm, lingering hugs, DJs and the crowd joining the embrace, all expecting some enchantment, having vibed to the musical spell. Ageless smiles lit up faces, and DJ Calpiss confessed to pre-set nerves, finding my sets a tough act to follow. Cute, right? They're all like kids in the candy store of beats. It felt like i found my long lost school friends.

Bonnapot Japan takes joy to another level. Two nights, zero sleep, fueled by the freaky good beats of every DJ. Nodoka, the organizer, wanted me to rest before my set, I was not on any substances. Nope, just pure energy, fueled by Japanese spring water and a single meal.

After my set, two more DJs spun their magic, and I danced till 1 pm. That's when I crashed for an 18-hour coma of bliss. Woke up, feeling reborn, ready to hit Okinawa for the Agaitida festival.

And forget going back to Goa; my heart, body, and mind want to live in Japanese wonderland. Never danced like this, the kind where your soul spills onto the dance floor without a hint of shyness.

And a shoutout to Indian party peeps: when will you grasp the gospel of good sound? Check my groove in Japan; maybe you'll catch the vibe. by @iggythedoctor

Welcome to Master Ung-Lee's Playground.

The friendly Goan Piggy is here to poke you.

Not to hurt you.
Not to preach to you.
Not to tell you what to believe.
Just to poke your bum awake.
Question everything.
Especially what's written in this book.
If an idea survives your questions, keep it.
If it doesn't, throw it away.

STOP BEGGING. START GOVERNING.

A Chief Minister is not a king. A politician is not royalty. They are public servants.

Some people proudly point to politicians who hand out ₹20,000 or ₹25,000 to those who come asking for help, as if that proves they are generous. But ask a simple question:

Why should citizens have to beg for what good governance should have already provided?

If a family needs money to survive, that is not a success story. It is evidence that public policy has failed.

And where does this "generosity" come from? If public money is misused, if corruption exists, if influence is bought instead of earned, then charity becomes a tool of manipulation rather than justice. A society should never depend on favours from politicians. It should depend on fair laws, transparent institutions, and accountable leadership.

Stop voting for faces.
Vote for policies.
Vote for clean rivers.
Vote for healthy forests.
Vote for reliable public transport.
Vote for quality education.
Vote for healthcare.
Vote for walkable cities.
Vote for sustainable development.
Vote for the future of our children.

Look around us. Across India, unplanned development is swallowing farmland, rivers, coastlines, forests, and our quality of life. We don't need to copy every trend from other countries. We should learn from what works—whether it comes from Sweden, Japan, Bhutan, Singapore, or anywhere else—and adapt those ideas to India's own culture and strengths.

India gave the world profound philosophies about awareness, compassion, and inner discipline. Yet today we are distracted by personality cults, empty symbolism, and endless political theatre. Leadership should be measured by integrity and results—not by garlands, convoys, speeches, or spectacle.

Public office is a job.

Not a throne.

Not a dynasty.

Not a lifetime entitlement.
Respect every human being—but never place any politician above accountability.

If elected officials abuse the public's trust or commit crimes, they should be investigated independently, prosecuted fairly, and, if found guilty in a court of law, face the same consequences as anyone else. No one should be above the law.

Dev invited me onto a catamaran on the Chapora River. We cruised towards Colvale, and somewhere along the way, time folded back on itself. It reminded me of the days in 2011 when I'd load up a little 22 seater boat with a small generator, my turntables, and a bunch of beautiful misfits. We'd disappear deep into the backwaters, find a quiet spot, anchor down, and let the music play until sunrise.

It also brought back memories of my big boat @alzirasomewhere that eventually sank. Strange how places can carry both joy and loss at the same time.

I wasn't officially DJing yesterday, but I ended up playing some of my old sets from 2005 and 2007. Having my OG's like Lyndon, Yogi, Hussain, Alison and Roy on board.. The kid made it even more special. Watching people smile, reminisce, and enjoy the music reminded me that some sounds never grow old.For a few hours, it felt like the spirit of those underground river sessions was alive again.

Stop sending me reels and messages saying, "Iggy, you comment."
Why me?
If you believe someone is fake, say it. If you think something is wrong, own your opinion. Don't whisper it in my inbox and expect me to carry your courage.
This habit of complaining in private and staying silent in public is exactly why our scene and our country struggles. Everyone wants change, but too many people are waiting for someone else to speak first. For over 30 years I've questioned trends, challenged standards, introduced new ideas, and kept pushing conversations forward. Not because I enjoy controversy, but because cultures only evolve when someone is willing to ask uncomfortable questions.

That's why I'm Master Unglee.

I poke. I provoke. I challenge. Most importantly, I poke myself first. If I can't question my own beliefs, I have no right to question yours.

I'm not here to be your spokesperson. I'm here to remind you that your voice matters just as much as mine.

The Doctor has given you the injection.

Now wake up—and speak for yourself. by @iggythedoctor

UNG-LEE Master is only here to give you a little Ung-Lee.

Just a gentle poke.

A reminder that it's not about the smoke machines. It's not about the lasers. It's about the stars. It's about the fire. It's about cooking together. It's about eating together. It's about empowering one another. It's about sustainability. It's about community.

One finger can point. One finger can create. One finger can scratch a record... ...and make the whole world dance.

Not with force. Not with algorithms. With rhythm. With presence. With instinct.

Animal Intelligence. Not Artificial Intelligence.
