@serbianmuseum opened the ROOTS & ROUTES exhibition showing the history of Serbian migration into Canada from the earliest known records over 100 years a go to the modern day.
.
I'm truly happy to see so many people attending and continuing to learn about the rich history and culture which is being preserved.
.
Slide 3 shows how my family and I came to Canada under the most real of circumstances which was war.

Thank you to all of the guests for coming together for this beautiful exhibition!

Izjava specijalnog predstavnika Evropske unije za dijalog Beograda i Prištine Petera Sorensena da je Ohridski sporazum iz 2023. godine pravno obavezujući prema međunarodnom pravu, iako nije potpisan, otvorila je novo pitanje o pravnoj prirodi dokumenta kojim Brisel već duže od tri godine uslovljava obe strane.

Sorensen je u pisanom intervjuu za „Kosova pres” od 14. avgusta rekao da saglasnost jedne strane da bude vezana sporazumom ne mora obavezno da bude potvrđena potpisom, već može biti izražena i na drugi način. Prema njegovim rečima, Beograd i Priština saglasili su se sa tekstom i nisu prigovorili načinu na koji je EU evidentirala njihovu saglasnost.

Institut „Srpski Most” zato je od Evropske službe za spoljne poslove i Sorensenove kancelarije zatražio objavljivanje celokupnog pravnog osnova za ovu tvrdnju. Kako je saopštio osnivač i direktor Instituta Aleksandar Spasić, zahtev obuhvata pravna mišljenja EU, dokaz o tome kada je i na koji način svaka strana pristala da bude obavezana, dokument kojim je ta saglasnost zabeležena, kao i podatke o stupanju sporazuma na snagu i njegovoj eventualnoj registraciji pri Ujedinjenim nacijama.

Od Brisela se traži i objašnjenje odnosa Ohridskog sporazuma prema Rezoluciji 1244 Saveta bezbednosti UN i članu 103 Povelje UN, kojim je utvrđeno da obaveze iz Povelje imaju prvenstvo u slučaju sukoba sa obavezama iz drugih međunarodnih sporazuma. Institut zahteva i pravila na osnovu kojih EU utvrđuje povredu sporazuma, konkretne posledice njegovog neispunjavanja i dokaz da se isti standardi primenjuju prema Beogradu i Prištini.
