Hard to know where to start with my admiration for @alliefkramer and @krames39. The bottom line is they are two of the most extraordinary people I've ever known and they've produced a riveting, life-affirming testament to their love for their beautiful son, Theo, who died last year on his 4th birthday from a fatal form of brain cancer called DIPG. This is an undeniable, unimaginable tragedy at the heart of this story and, yet, I can't overstate how uplifting being immersed in the love that is shared between Theo, Allie, and Kramer is, as they generously share memories, grieving, and the courage of going on with us. We said goodbye to our beloved Layla Rae Holljes (née Friedman) yesterday. She was our first child and the baby of our family for 11 years. Every minute we had with her was a gift. She was hilarious, sweet, the best cuddler, a friend to everyone she met, a worthy nemesis to the dog across the canal, and a source of unqualified joy and comfort to our family every time she greeted us at the door. She was a mensch until her very last moment. You didn’t know our family (including both Becca and my immediate and extended members) without knowing and snuggling Layla too. We know she’s in a better place and we look forward to her greeting us at the door there someday. We love and miss you with all our hearts, sweet girl. You are the best. 🐶❤️ by @iholljes

For all of this year’s craziness and tragedy, the chance to spend so much time with this crew has been an incredible gift. My amazing wife has navigated a pandemic, a toddler, work, and growing an apparent Holljes giant (already bigger than Leo when he was born 😳🤦🏼‍♂️), all while being the best partner and friend. I have never been more in love with @rholljes (and I was already absolutely crazy about her!) and I’m obsessed with this little family we’re growing.
