“Lance Oppenheim’s first fiction film after years in documentary is gripping, gorgeous and anchored by some of the best performances you’ll see this year. It isn’t perfect, and its biggest weakness sits right at its centre, but it’s the kind of film that gets under your skin and stays there.”

Ikraam Sharif reviews Lance Oppenheim’s ‘PRIMETIME’ which hits cinemas October 30th.

spodyssey summer posts are late but better late than never!! 🕷️🏺

weirdly the films about returning to a place that no longer knows who they are; one earns recognition back, the other has to build a life without it. but for now … my letterboxd reviews 🫂

AUGUST FILM DIARY 🪲 — everything i watched last month, rated and reviewed.

logan lerman is the white boy of the century and i will not be taking questions!!!! eight films, ratings from 5.0 (the winter soldier, obviously) down to a 2.0. IS GOD IS is the one you need to see — beautiful, blood-soaked, haunting. by @ikraamqs

JULY FILM DIARY IS HEREEEE 🖤🖤🖤

three 5.0s in one month. i don’t hand those out lightly, so make of that what you will! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ also check out my review for @welcometocampmiasma in @thesundaycinemaclub substack 📝

i went into july planning to be normal about films and instead handed out a few 5.0s. tom holland earned his (like ALWAYS) nolan proved himself again and the third went to a romcom from 2012 that i’ve probably seen more times than i’d admit publicly. everything else? witches, toys, a very smart slasher, and one disappointment i’ll be polite about but still throughly enjoyed watching 👩🏽‍💻

swipe for the ratings — they’re unfiltered, straight from my notes app or thoughts i had written in my notepad whilst watching

🎞️ june film diary

this month had everything: aliens, office romance, psychological horror, emotional damage, j.lo romcoms, parody chaos, and at least three films that haven’t left my head since the credits rolled.

some films surprised me, some completely broke me, and others reminded me why i’ll always defend a good romcom (or a ridiculously self-aware comedy).

every slide is a little review straight from my notes app. if you’ve seen any of these, i need to know whether we’re on the same page… or if i’ve got another controversial take. 🍿

may film diary is here and honestly this delivered!! 💌

the sheep detectives came out of nowhere and is easily one of the best films i’ve watched this year — wholesome, emotional, and genuinely funny all at once.

april film diary 🎞️

this month’s watches had me thinking about identity, performance, loneliness, fame and what it means to truly be seen. 💌

featuring first watches, rewatches and way too many notes on cinematography, soundtracks and symbolism. letterboxd brain officially activated. 🫡
