The best boy!

Today was my first day of work without him. He was always in my library with me. He isn't in his spot anymore, but his brother kept me company today. Mo is only featured in about 5 of the photos on my feed, but he would be in the behind the scenes of almost every photo. The absolute best reading partner. 🩵

Another top read of my year!! And a great way to close out the month.

I love this Analeigh Sbrana new release. Heir of Prophecy was a great read and I cannot wait for the sequel. You should pick this one up soon!

What recs do you have from this year so far?

September is nearing its end and I'm loving the cooler nights. It's been great for moody reading curled up with tea and a blanket.

What's your favorite fall reading setup?

A new cover of The Night Circus?

Yes please! It was an immediate buy to add to my collection.

I love games! And playing D&D with my friends is one of my favorite. I'll take all the D&D inspired romance books and the new Lenora Woods book was a lovely read.

What's your favorite game?

I love a good adult book fair ... especially when they are hosted at a brewery!

A whirlwind to the end of my week, but it included some book shopping so definitely worth it!

What is happening?! I've posted three days in a row? Expect me to go silent soon 😂😂😂

Two of my last couple of reads have had hedgehog companions in them. Are we in a hedgehog era? What weird animal companion would you choose?

Also I never see that L in the book title... this looks like Ciara to me.

I do love all the cozy evil/villain books I've been reading lately. Do you have a favorite?

Death Meets Cute by Penner
Dreadful by Rozakis
Violet Thistlewaite is not a Villain Anymore by Krempholtz
How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Wexler
Assistant to the Villain by Maehrer

What cozy "evil" stories do you recommend?

I love me a holiday where I just get to hang on my back porch and read a new book!

These late summer days are great. I just love the cooler breeze and knowing fall is imminent.

This is my physical TBR... this is it.

It has taken my years. I'll try to keep it under 20 moving forward.

Although I am an advocate for two separate hobbies - buying and reading.

What book are you reading next?

I love finding new bookstores. Especially when it pushes me to pick out a book that I typically wouldn't have purchased. It's Hard to be an Animal has been a fun read!

I tracked down my presets! Don't know how I managed that, but no complaints here.

Hope your Monday reading (or not reading) is going well!

Umm excuse me!! Elizabeth Lim does it again. I absolutely devoured Fishbone Cinderella. This will be one of my top reads of the year for sure!

It does have a dual timeline and while normally I'm not a fan, Lim delivered both storylines seamlessly. I didn't feel pulled from the story each time a transition was made.

Side note.. new phone and I'm thrilled, but I didn't save any of my lightroom presets 🤦🏼‍♀️
