Here’s What’s on with the Illustrator Cohort in October 2026

We start off with the CRIT. It's an opportunity for you to show your work in progress, get a second eye on the pieces you are working on and get some input from fellow practitioners, drawing from their own references, knowledge and experiences for better outcomes.

On the 24th of October we are heading to the beach! Pack your sketchbook and your sunscreen, we're taking the art off the page and onto the sand. Join us for a full day of creating, connecting, and unwinding at Tarkwa Bay Beach in collaboration with Bloom In Full Effect.

See you soon!

Join us for our first gathering of the Comic Makers Club on the 19th of September 2026. We’ll use sequential art as a way to translate and understand ideas and experiences.

By the end of the session you should leave with your own comic strip or page.

Will you be coming, let us know in the comments!

Illustrator Cohort invites you to the InBloom space for the drawing workshop “See Like an Artist: A SKETCHER'S GUIDE”, where we break down visual observation to make drawing less tedious, less intimidating, and vastly more accurate.

This is the first in a series of workshops to help you elevate your artistic skill.

Whether you are new to drawing, it is just your hobby, or you are a veteran in your craft, there is something new to learn.

See you at -<in boom address>

This past Saturday, the 19th of September we had the first gathering of the Comic Makers Club.

The first edition lived up to the vision and expectation we had: a space and environment for comic makers to share about the comics we love and our influences, speak of our love for the art form, make connections, and most importantly draw some comics.

It was diverse in style and perspective.

Hope to see you at the next gathering!

For Renike, the heart of Nigerian illustration lies in its ability to reflect who we are.

From vibrant personalities and bold colours to the energy that defines our communities, Nigerian illustrators continue to create work that is deeply rooted in identity and unmistakably our own.

It’s this authenticity that makes the Nigerian illustration scene so distinctive—and so powerful.

Behind every illustrator is a world of inspirations—and for Lamidi Abloh, music is one of them. It’s another creative language he’s always loved, one that offers the same sense of expression, curiosity, and freedom that fuels his visual practice.

Whether through symbols, illustrations, or sound, Lamidi’s passion has always been rooted in creating experiences that connect with people.
