no better way to ring in the summer season than with a new mermaid illustration 🌊 i’ve also discovered a new love for peach + turquoise together. those vintage postcards were onto something!

there’s always been something about centaurs that i find so interesting :) as a little girl, i was so fascinated by them and would draw them all the time (admittedly, not well). thought i’d give it another shot!
-
also, i’ve been really into adding frames onto my illustrations! i think they add a storybook feel and can make things look really ornamental and pretty. 🥰

fairies and dragons and princesses, oh my!
-
as a kid, the 1959 sleeping beauty was one of my favorite movies ever 🩷 even now, eyvind earle’s work on the film is an inspiration to me - such a huge fan of his mid-century shapes and colors! 🌷🌟
-
i’ve been wanting to make an illustration with this palette for a long time, i loveee olive and fuchsia together. 🧚🏼‍♀️

-
kind of insane that i’ve never drawn any lotr fanart, having adored the book and movies so much (+ being frodo for halloween one year lol). i’ve always loved the balrog design from fellowship, so many fun swoops + curves 🩷
