S E P T E M B E R I honestly don’t even know how to put this month into words. September has been one of the wildest, most emotional, and transformative months of my life. So much changed so quickly - personally, professionally, and in ways I never saw coming. There were some incredible highs, some really hard lows, and a lot of moments where I had to simply trust God when I couldn’t see what He was doing. And maybe that’s the point. I’m choosing to believe that someday I’ll look back at this season and realize that what felt like everything falling apart was actually God rearranging everything for something better. That He was working behind the scenes, even in the uncertainty, and using every high and low for His purpose. After 20 years in design, I’m stepping into an entirely new chapter as a personal trainer—and I could not be more passionate, excited, or grateful for what’s ahead (I’ll never fully give up art and design though). Fitness has become so much more than working out for me. It’s about becoming stronger, building confidence, taking care of the body God gave you, and discovering what you’re capable of when you decide to stop making excuses and start showing up. And now I get to help other people do the same. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to prioritize yourself, this is it. Whether you want to get stronger, lose weight, build confidence, or simply feel better in your own skin, I’d love to help you get there 🫶🏼 I’m officially taking on personal-training clients, both online and in-person. DM me “START” and let’s talk about your goals. Here’s to closing one chapter, trusting God with the next, and having the courage to step into the life He’s calling me toward. 🤍

⭐️ Collab Artist Highlight ⭐️ Introducing illustrator Sydney Huynh ✨ Sydney is a Vietnamese-American illustrator and designer based in Irvine, CA, USA. She loves all things colorful and whimsical, and she shares this joy by putting it into the art that she creates. She loves crisp shapes and brush-like textures, with some of her biggest inspirations being Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle. She is deeply passionate about the worlds surrounding museum practice as well as children’s literature, as she finds immense value in reserving space for stories to be told and for voices to be heard, especially within underrepresented communities. In 2022, she earned her BFA in Illustration with a minor in Art History at the California State University, Long Beach. Since then, she has put her skills in illustration, pattern work, and design into practice, as her work has been featured in major American retailers such as Target, Staples, Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, and more. If not sitting at her desk making art, you can find Sydney at the movies, out for a morning run, or walking her 16-year-old dog, Benji! If you’d like to work with Sydney today contact us through our Contact link in bio ⭐️ . . . . #collaborateagency #publishing #artisthighlight #agency #collaborate #illustrator #creative

Next up is Sydney Huynh! @illusyd 🌸 Sydney Huynh is a Vietnamese-American illustrator from Irvine, CA. Within her works, she seeks to channel a sense of playfulness by use of warm colors, lively subject matter, and whimsical storytelling. She is largely influenced by her childhood memories as she revisits her youth and makes art through a lens of innocent joy. When she isn’t drawing, you can find Sydney spending way too much time at a museum, hanging out with her dog Benji, or scavenging for children’s books to add to her growing collection. #art #artist #artistsoninstagram #artshow #artexhibition #artistsupport #artistfeature #seniorshow #californiastateuniversitylongbeach #csulb #longbeach #longbeachart #artistshowcase #illustration #illustrator #illustragram #illustrationartists #lb #lbc #longbeachcalifornia #artexhibit

after several months of hard work as producer for the show, the csulb bfa pre-production and animation senior cohort of fall 2022 celebrated the opening reception of our gallery show, overgrown, this past sunday. i am so proud of all of the talented artists and filmmakers in this cohort, and honored that i, along with a team of awesome leaders, got to see the real fruits of our labor this week. with the support and aid of many fellow artists, including (but not limited to) @theartofemm, @nellyh8sjelly, @ayyitsmee.png, @totoasty, @confident.levi, and @aliensharpie i couldn’t be more proud of the exhibition and their dedication to making this show as successful as it has been. in the lead up to this event, our cohort raised over one thousand dollars for our budget- a feat that assisted with catering to over three-hundred guests on opening night. this budget also funded marketing and advertising materials around campus. i had the pleasure of heading our social media campaign at @overgrowncsulb on instagram, as well as heading web design for our online exhibition, that which you can still find at https://lnkd.in/g2xr347d. featuring 32 artists, the showcase has been a massive one to run. the number of juried work per students ranged anywhere from 7-15. it was so rewarding to see my own work decorating the wall alongside these artists as a culmination of years of dedication to visual arts. i am so excited to see where these artists go next as many of us move in to our final week at california state university, long beach. if you are in the area, stop by and see our show at the merlino and gatov gallery on campus, running from december 11th-15th, 12-5 pm each day! (ps: thanks to the friends and fam that came out to support me- I wish we had gotten more pics 🥺) #artist

✨my obsession✨ hi, sry, it's been some time since i posted anything!! i've been feeling the burnout from art and school mainly, and i just honestly never take a break so i thought it'd be good to put my health first for once. did an art trade with @illusyd and finally got to draw her adorable af dog, benji. this is the first in a while that i drew smth without being too hard on myself, and it was actually so fun!! swipe for a close-up of benji bc he deserves it and just more benji doodles. 🐾 #art #artist #artistsoninstagram #digitalart #illustration #digitalillustration
